    Universal Banker (Level 1)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To take demand from personal customers for any banking matters ranging from product questions to customer account activities (e.g., opening accounts, statements, debit order information, etc.), whilst forming an accurate assessment and understanding of that demand in order to act on it in a one-and-done manner that consistently delivers what matters to the customer within product and legislative (e.g., FAIS) parameters.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Head, Working Capital Credit

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     To provide overall Credit guidance, direction, and support of the Working Capital Solutions portfolio, with specific focus on Trade Finance, Debtor Finance, and other working capital solutions. To aid in development of effective and appropriate working capital solutions in support of Business & Commercial Clients (BCC) asset growth targets, with a specific focus on Trade Finance, Debtors Finance, and other working capital solutions.

    To comprehensively manage the credit risk performance of the Trade Finance, Debtors Finance & other working capital credit portfolios (as mandated) for BCC, specifically in respect of originations, scored/ automated credit lending strategies, assessment of credit risk if required, sanctions, fulfilment, credit risk management, account maintenance and involvement in distressed and high-risk accounts in keeping with the BCC Group credit policies and guidelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualification Required:

    • First Degree in Finance and Accounting
    • Strong qualifications in the field of finance and accounting. Preference for additional training in Banking, Legal, and leadership.

    Experience Required: 

    • More than 10 years in credit evaluations experience, specifically in Trade Finance & Debtors Finance, but also in general business lending for Business or Commercial segment and Entrepreneur or small businesses. Deep understanding of credit principles and financial statements, particularly as relates to funding of working capital requirements.  Understands collateral and collections processes.  Understands risk processes. Previous Structured and Specialised Lending credit experience is an advantage

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To manage a Corporate and Investment Banking Global Multinational Corporation (“GMNC”) portfolio with the primary objective of assessing and managing risk within acceptable parameters.     QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Qualification:

    Experience Required:

    • 3-5 Years experience - Thorough conceptual and practical knowledge of credit procedures, policies and standards, as well as a thorough understanding of products and facilities that give rise to counterparty credit risk. Understanding of Basel and broader regulatory and compliance requirements.
    • 3-5 Years experience in good understanding of lending and derivative products and facilities that give rise to counterparty credit risks, including the documentation required/presented to manage that risk.
    • 3-5 Years experience in a well developed knowledge of financial markets, global economy and appropriate regional geographies in which portfolio operates.
    • 3-5 years experience in good understanding of accounting (both management and financial accounting) to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients and identify potential risks to credit proposals.
    • 3-5 years experience in understanding and working knowledge of risk systems monitoring and its related procedures for analysing the account behaviour of clients and identifying trends and shifts in credit risk profiles. Thorough understanding of bank’s products and facilities that give rise to counter party credit risk. Strong technical understanding of non-credit risks encountered within transactions. Knowledge of financial markets (Global and especially African economies). Thorough conceptual and practical knowledge of credit procedures, policies, standards. Knowledge of risk systems and derivative instruments.
