    Software Developer - Richmond Park

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Writing medium to complex systems and applications using best software development practices.
    • Investigating issues and requests received from Clients regarding Rubicon products and services.

    Picker - Cape Town

    Role Requirements

    Storage:

    • Receipted stock needs to be placed physically in the storage location for the specific warehouse (Lighting, Energy, Utilities, Residential, Platform, SUS, etc).
    • Ensure that all stock is being stored safely and that the correct H&S practice is being maintained at all times.
    • Report any damaged or missing stock (discrepancies) to the direct supervisor and stock controller.

    Order Fulfilment:

    • All damaged stock needs to be removed from the shelf, and involve stock control to take the correct steps as put out in the SOP.
    • Identify where the shipment is going to (Branch, customer, or supplier), what type of stock order is being sent (Customer order or replacement, Inter Company Transfer Order, Local Order, or International Order), and what the destination of the stock is intended for (Current warehouse or another branch/location).

    Packaging:

    • Items to be packaged in a manner to reduce damages during storage and transport. It should also be presentable so as not to tarnish the company’s image.
    • All loose items that do not have a label should be labelled as per SOP.

    Documentation:

    • When picking, make sure to note the quantity and quality of the units being picked. Should there be any discrepancies present, ask for assistance from the stock controller and advise your supervisor. This needs to be signed off by the supervisor.
    • Thereafter, stock needs to be handed over to the dispatch team, who also needs to co-sign the shipment paper and date/time it.All documentation should always have two signatures on it: one signature of the person handing over the stock and one signature of the person receiving the stock.

    Housekeeping:

    • Floor and workstations are to be kept neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
    • All stock should be kept within their agreed storage areas. Inventory found outside of a location must be allocated to the correct location. Use the SOH with inventory detail to determine where the stock needs to go. Before physically moving it to the location, inform the inventory controller of your action and obtain approval from them.
    • All equipment should be kept clean and in a condition that is conducive to the working area.
    • Identifying workplace safety hazards and ensuring that the area is being kept in a manner to promote a culture of Health and Safety.

    Computer Literacy/Systems:

    • Basic proficiency in Windows and the MS Office suite.

    Knowledge, Education, Skills & Experience:

    • At Minimum, Matric/NQF 4 level qualification
    • Ability to read, write, count and communicate verbally
