    Contract Administrator (Gauteng - Sandton)

    Description

    • To effectively and promptly carry out all administrative duties related to the formulation of sourcing strategies, development of contracts, and management of contracts to support the business in attaining its operational and strategic goals. This involves maintaining and coordinating the accuracy and adherence of contract information across various platforms.

    Functional Outputs:

    • To comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of policies, participating in training sessions and sourcing answers to any queries daily and as required.
    • To comply with processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of processes, implementing the correct process and addressing any areas of concern daily.
    • To propose improvements to processes by identifying an area for improvement, presenting to line manager and providing additional information as relevant.
    • To facilitate timeous and accurate contracting by tracking key sourcing and contracts deliverables, tracking progress, identifying issues and risks and resolving or suggesting solutions, daily and as required.
    • To develop and implement commercial strategies for non-complex commodities by understanding supply chain objectives and business standards, formulating and executing commercial strategies, conducting audits, verifying adherence to standards and resolving issues and communicating to management, as required.
    • To monitor the correct execution of contract payment terms by managing the proper approval of contract payments, monitoring the execution of payment terms, performing SOX tests, executing contract amendments and communicating product or price adjustments or extensions, daily and as required.
    • To support effective supplier relationships by arranging SLA meetings for contracted suppliers, managing contracting documentation, maintaining accurate information and updating records on required systems such as SharePoint and Ariba, as required.
    • To support validity and compliance of contracts by understanding compliance requirements, checking and verifying that all contracts are valid, managing the contracting and sourcing SharePoint site, updating information, collecting, recording and updating B-BBEEE certificates, communicating with service providers to update certificates and managing contract expiry dates, daily and as required.
    • To support contract management team to prepare for effective negotiations by managing Electronic Procurement documents (RFx), issuing RFx documents, preparing and distributing status reports on project progress, monitoring adjustments, due dates and changes in costs and updating the contract management team as required.
    • To coordinate the adherence of contract information across various platforms by updating, maintaining and tracking the accuracy of the data monthly.

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Diploma or Degree in operations management, supply chain management or commerce.

    Advantageous      

    • Driver’s license.
    • Required technical or professional experience               
    • 2 to 3 years related work experience.
    • Preferred technical or professional experience              
    • Supplier management and sourcing modules knowledge.

    Explosives Technician (North West - Marikana)

    Description

    • The role will establish the foundation for generating real-time data to improve decision-making and optimise the blasting outcome. This will support Enaex Africa in the quest to become the number 1 premium blasting supplier in the industry.

    Provide technical support on the following:

    • Advanced blast design (Software based)
    • Fragmentation measurement and analysis
    • VOD measurements
    • Borehole deviation measurement
    • Borehole diameter measurement  
    • Monitoring of ground vibrations and Airblast  
    • Optimization and continuous improvement projects (Execution of planned projects with the guidance of the Explosive Engineer)
    • Cost optimization initiatives
    • Consolidating all of the above technical measurements in a comprehensive report.
    • Assist the Explosive Engineer in acting as a consultant to Tharisa Minerals, our customer, based on the following aspects:
    • Blast-related advice in sensitive areas
    • Product application knowledge and recommendation
    • Continuous improvement of blast design procedure
    • Drilling compliance to design
    • Differentiate the company’s service and products by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing value-added activities beneficial to the performance of the blast.
    • Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at Tharisa Minerals.
    • Provide excellent service on all aspects of explosive and accessory products and their uses, auditing of product application and performance and giving recommendations to correct deficiencies.
    • Assist the R&D team with quality tests and assurancewith regard to our product specifications.
    • Regularly carry out workplace and instrument inspections, ensure equipment and tools are safe to use and properly maintained.
    • Compliance with all procedures and safety measurements required by Enaex Africa and/or Tharisa Minerals.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Mining Engineering / Relevant mining qualification
    • Blasting or Rock Breaker Certificate – Opencast (Required)
    • Explosive Engineering course (Preferred)
    • Drivers licence (Required)
    • Training in using technical equipment (Required)
    • Project Management Course (Optional)
    • Competent in Microsoft packages (Required)

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 to 5 Years experience in Opencast mining (production orientated)
    • Any relevant explosive-related experience
