    International Marketing Manager

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • As a Tiger Brands International (TBI) Marketing Manager you will manage a team of Brand Managers and/or Assistant Brand Managers. You are the custodian of driving market development in the short, medium and long term by driving sustainable, profitable growth in the identified key categories and brands in rest of Africa and World. You will achieve this through export and/or innovation and by collaborating with category and trade teams while using (or initiating) deep consumer and shopper insights to drive brand growth from seeding to market leadership. You are responsible to deliver exceptional brand experiences and grow brand equity in emerging, established and white spaces out side of South Africa –i.e.  landing/articulating the relevant marketing mix for that market. You are responsible for influencing, coaching and managing those working for you and your ability to provide leadership and inspire is what will set you apart in this role.

    Reports to the TBI Marketing Director

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Lead cross functional teams to execute the agreed Category strategy
    •  Lead market development insight and analysis
    •  Translate marketing insights and analysis of key issues and opportunities into 
    • clear & compelling Brand Plans - detailing execution of Category Strategy, Pricing & Channel Strategy, Promotions Plan and Innovation Plan to deliver agreed 
    • growth agenda (volume, value, profit)
    •  Drive full TBI team to hit the metrics approved by the Marketing and Managing Director. Metrics could be volume, revenue, profit or market share driven and will be determined by category strategy
    •  Track and monitor the performance of your brands against financial targets and plans, executing corrective actions when needed
    •  Motivate your team to ensure that there is a focus on delivery of brand plans whilst promoting cross functional working to identify interdependencies and potential efficiencies
    •  Focus on developing and empowering people around you and developing great relationships within Tiger Brands and with our clients and suppliers
    •  Lead creative agency through the Communication Strategy process for your
    • brand(s), culminating in the deliver of locally relevant campaign
    •  Set pricing targets informed by your in-depth understanding of brand positioning and by leveraging in market shopper insights
    •  Monitor all marketing communications and promotions around the categories to ensure consistency of message and clarity of information. You will work closely with the Customer team in order to align trade spend with your marketing  calendar

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  5+ years brand and marketing experience with a proven track record of working across functions to deliver marketing excellence and brand growth within a FMCG environment
    •  International/exports/global strategy execution experience preferable
    •  BBusSc/BCom is strongly preferable
    •  Proven record of successful brand development and Idea to Market strategies
    •  Demonstrated ability to develop innovative consumer goods propositions based on rich consumer insights

    •  Well-rounded consumer goods experience – spanning Marketing and preferably Customer roles
    •  Consumer obsession and insights-driven – a thirst for understanding how consumers operate within your category and use that to drive strategy and decision making

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    Responsible for managing all aspects of moderately complex manufacturing operations in an 8,50 tph and 31,25 tph flour Mill. Responsible to deliver results that meet quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost criteria. Formulates or approves short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration as undertaken at the plant level.

    Material Planner: Baby (Ndabeni)

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    You are accountable for the generation of a 24 months rolling Materials Plan. You will manage the procurement of all required materials (packaging and raw materials) as per production plan demand. You ensure opportunities and risks are regularly revised in order to meet the required customer demand at lowest possible costs, working capital and targeted customer service levels. You will facilitate the supplier review process in conjunction with Procurement. You are responsible for the implementation of  continuous improvement in materials planning and the adoption of materials planning process and  tools.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Lead and manage the materials requirements planning processes
    • Upload forward plan orders into ORACLE and retrieve material shortage reports
    • Plan orders for materials to meet demand
    • Issue purchase orders to suppliers and maintain delivery due list
    • Review and maintain forward material requirements within working capital targets for packaging and raw materials - i.e. minimize stockholding whilst ensuring sufficient supply.
    • Check shortages in production and review with warehouse and production planners the supply challenges (e.g. shortages, late deliveries etc.)
    • Ensure best delivery days through collaboration with warehouses and supplies and check in conjunction with warehouse/ development/ laboratory on any suspect material to ensure continuity in factories
    • Ensure communication between the Units and Procurement for all price negotiations and track Working Capital on packaging and raw materials weekly
    • Supply information to the Central Procurement team for updating supplier quantity contract/ source lists
    • Provide suppliers with a rolling 13-week forward estimate on a weekly basis and rolling monthly material requirements plan
    • Collaborate with key suppliers to manage supply, risks and opportunities
    • Maintain and optimize MRP tool in Oracle (e.g master data, housekeeping of PO’s)
    • Manage material write-offs at launches, re-launches and discontinuations
    • Highlight and resolve short term exception between production and supply on critical raw and packaging materials
    • Support supply review process by evaluating raw and packaging risks with action plans
    • Attend the supply review (SR) and help to prepare Supply Review pack.
    • Ensure correctness of SAP MRP through parameters/Stock Norms etc.

    Customer Analyst: Retail/Pharmacy

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    You provide support to Sales team through data analysis, collating feedback and providing insights that enable effective decision making. You are a functional expert on all external and internal databases, systems and tools. You are responsible for evaluating and predicting sales trends in order to help promotional strategies using sales prediction software, drawing up detailed sales reports, and making informed suggestions for how to improve company profitability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collect data from sales reports for analysis
    • Develop methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data
    • Closely study past sales data to determine trends in productivity
