    Groups Support Coordinator

    Goal

    • The Groups Support Coordinator will be responsible for professional communication with participants, that all programs proceed with all participant's expectations set, all pre-departure documentation collected, and payments made prior to travel. Webinars will be hosted successfully and all participant information will be relayed to the field team in a timeous manner to ensure a successful arrival. Successful application management will ensure all deposits are received on or before their due date resulting in the team achieving their monthly target for new participants enrolled. 

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Provide professional pre-departure support to all participants/groups/University’s prior to travel, ensuring a positive pre-departure experience on all fronts.
    • Clear Missing Charges report daily/weekly.
    • Ensure Salesforce is always up to date with extensions, transfers, and cancellations. 
    • Salesforce tasks need to be checked daily to ensure minimal overdue tasks. 
    • Payment Schedules must be created as soon as lead is converted and application calls have been scheduled.
    • Processing EFT and Stripe payments.
    • Managing and responding to emails received in the GVI Education email account.
    • Payment Reminders, Payment collection to ensure Overdue payments are received.
    • Maintain excellent knowledge of GVI locations and itineraries.
    • Schedule application calls.
    • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required.
    • Processing pre-departure documentation.
    • Incoming and Outgoing Group Support Calls.
    • Convert application leads to Opportunities and link to Group opportunity
    • Clear Group Lead queue every day
    • Following up with applications and converting them to paid opportunities or
    • passing onto the Account Owner to speak to parents.

    Digital Designer - Remote

    About the role

    • Seeking an enthusiastic digital designer who has the desire to do good in the world. Are you passionate about the planet and those on it? Are you excited by disruptive design intended for a purpose? Do you enjoy working in a remote culture with engaged people from around the world?

    Events Manager - Remote

    About the role

    • We’re looking for a mid-weight events manager to develop, execute and manage our events calendar, consisting of both on-the-ground and virtual events taking place globally. The Events Manager will work in the Outreach Team (within the Marketing department) and report to the Global Outreach manager. They will work across our GVI and Bushwise brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring GVI is present at as many events as possible, (at school and university events as well as other relevant expos and fairs.) They will work closely with the ambassador  coordinator to find suitable candidates to represent GVI and attend these events on our behalf, as well as manage all the relevant logistics (e.g. shipping of promotional materials.) The successful candidate will also be responsible for organising and managing all GVI and Bushwise Open Days.
    • This person will also need to build great relationships with schools and universities globally, and ensure that we are taking advantage of every opportunity to increase brand awareness (and subsequently bookings) at these institutions. As such, experience within the US/UK academic environment would be a huge bonus.

    Senior Project Manager - Remote

    About the role

    • Work collaboratively with Marketing Operations Manager to set up the necessary processes to execute the required product changes.
    • Oversee and coordinate the running of these processes.
    • Adjust processes where necessary based on retrospectives on product change projects. Project Manager to facilitate these.

    • Establish and document processes for product changes across the business  in collaboration with Marketing, Product, Field Operations, Sales and Systems. These could include(but not limited to):
    • New Program/Product Creation 
    • Hub Changes/Moves(from an operational and comms perspective. Not logistical, on the ground hub move project management)
    • Create timelines for product changes and be responsible for managing these timelines effectively to ensure timeous delivery of the required outputs. 
    • Be responsible for the communication, coordination and prioritisation for large scale product changes across the organisation. 
    • Run product change projects by initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing these according to the established processes. 
    • Facilitate retrospectives for these product change projects and adjust processes accordingly. 
    • Report on status of projects to senior management team. 
    • Collaborate on product change projects with the senior management team where applicable.

    Social Media Manager (Bushwise) - Hoedspruit, Limpopo

    About the role

    • The goal of the Social Media Manager is to take Bushwise’s social media presence to the next level. You will create dynamic content featuring wildlife, safari, location, human and conservation stories to help grow the Bushwise brand across our social platforms. This role is also responsible for delivering excellent customer service via community engagement, and reporting on social insights to the business.

    Social expert

    • Be one of  our internal experts on organic social media content, platforms, developments and trends

    Program Director - Marine

    About the role

    • To join us on our journey of growth, learning and impact, we are looking for an experienced, passionate professional whose strengths lie in global people management and operations. 
    • This person will work remotely and will have the challenging task of overseeing the delivery of our world-leading marine programs in a number of destinations around the globe. They will interact closely with the managers  in those regions, to deliver the vision laid out by the team who design our participant experience. 

    Role and responsibilities:

    • Provide input to the GVI Product team as they define the experience for each program for each hub
    • Provide the projects, staff, resources, consumables, assets and infrastructure to deliver the GVI experience as defined by the Product team
    • Work with the Director of Field Operations, GVI Product team and Field Operations teams to address any issues arising from the quality assurance process
    • Ensure that all  project work generates the maximum possible impact, and is consistent with GVI’s ethical framework
    • Program design/review and implementation of all marine and/or conservation related projects across GVI
    • Development and oversight of scientific research programs across marine and/or conservation related projects
    • Ensure that Health and Safety protocols are followed,  to ensure the safety of all participants, staff and other visitors to all GVI sites in their region
    • Optimise the commercial and operational structures by which the projects, staff, resources, consumables, assets and infrastructure are provided
    • Ensure successful implementation and reporting of project Impact measurement processes
    • Ensure the successful implementation and delivery of marketing and internal communication initiatives
    • Prepare for and ensure the successful management of any issues which arise across locations, including on-the-ground management of customer complaints, medical issues, natural disasters etc 
    • In conjunction with the People and Field Operations functions, ensure the availability of full- and part-time skilled, fully-trained and motivated field staff to meet the requirements outlined in the field model staffing plan
    • Work with the Cape Town team to ensure in country legal compliance and maintain desired legal status through accurate and timely reporting.

    Global HR and Recruitment Specialist

    About the role

    • GVI is looking for a highly personable, proactive, detail-oriented HR and recruitment professional to join our People Team. This role is suited to someone who has recruited for, and on boarded individuals across the globe, and who ideally has a background in tourism or international development, as the role will assist our international ‘field’ teams who are based in 17 different locations. There will be a strong administration and compliance focus, but the role will also require a highly dynamic, flexible individual who is able to build relationships with people from all different backgrounds. 
    • The People Team, where this role will sit, is currently a multifaceted team of three, who take care of everything people-related across our global team including HR, recruitment, onboarding, office management, well-being, training, development, and ongoing engagement. We are currently based in Cape Town, as part of the Central Support office, however, due to our ability to work remotely, this role has the ability to work anywhere, provided it’s in line with Cape Town working hours.

    Role and responsibilities

    This role has 3 goals:

    Field recruitment specialist: 

    • Become the field expert with recruitment: research and suggest best advertising platforms for unique roles, place successful candidates in a timeous manner 

    Field onboarding and compliance:

    • Once the successful candidate is signed on, responsible for getting the new employee into the field effectively. This includes:
    • Introduce to, and assist Field Support Manager with pre-departure training/insurance enrolment 
    • Liaise with relevant Program Manager for visa/travel logistics and assist new employee to arrive in-country effectively 
    • Ensure new employee has completed new starter forms 
    • Ensure new employee has all documentation uploaded to BamboooHR & is compliant on all fronts (criminal check, passport, contract, new starter forms, certifications. etc) 
    • Log ticket with IT for relevant system setup (Skype, email, etc.)
    • Check in 1-week post arrival to close the loop 
    • Ensure ongoing compliance of field documentation

    Field people representative: 

    • Attends relevant field meetings and feeds necessary info back to People team efficiently, working collaboratively to find necessary solutions 
    • Meets with Program Managers initially to understand each hub’s individual staffing conditions on base, and then bi-monthly to understand up to date hub’s people-related needs/conditions

    About you
