    Driver (Accessories) - Brits (West)

    Overview    

    • Transport and delivery of explosive accessories

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12
    • Dangerous Goods Permit (PDP)
    • Code 14 Drivers License

    Advantageous Requirements

    • Magazine Master Certificate

    Experience    

    • 3 years’ demonstrated experience in driving explosives transport

    Duties    
    Receiving accessories:

    • Ensures that the correct accessories are loaded as per the requisition/delivery note issued by the magazine master

    Transport of accessories:

    • Driving the vehicle safely and responsibly in all weather conditions and on all road surface conditions (applying the rules of road)
    • Schedule and drive the vehicle in such a way to be at the customer on time
    • Ensures that all the tasks necessary for the transport of explosives are carried out in accordance with statutory/legal/BME requirements, (including delivery, priming, stemming and tie-up, as well as all the SHERQ requirements and assistant at magazines)
    • Ensures that the correct accessories are delivered to the responsible person and signs the delivery note as acceptance thereof as per the requisition/delivery note issued by the magazine master

    Vehicle inspection and maintenance:

    • Conducting the prescribed pre-use inspections and completion of the checklist
    • Adhere to the require BME procedure and policies – pre use
    • Sign the checklist and ensure that it is handed to the office
    • Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle daily
    • Adhere to log book procedure

    Delivery of orders to customers:

    • Obtain the delivery note for the order from the Magazine Master and ensure that it coincides with the Scheduling Coordinator
    • Ensure that the vehicle is appropriately sealed as prescribed and that it coincides with the seal on the delivery note
    • Break the seal in the presence of the client’s company Magazine Master or blaster prior to off-loading the order at the customer’s site
    • Be present during the entire off-loading process
    • Obtain the signed Delivery Note from the customer
    • Hand in the Delivery Note in at the office
    • Escalates serious offences to Foreman
    • Ensure good Housekeeping tasks of the vehicle and site and ensures completion thereof

    HR Business Partner - Sasolburg

    Overview    

    • Partner with the business to facilitate the alignment and integration of HR related strategies, processes and procedures to all Business units with in the Omnia Agriculture division.
    • Provide advice, solutions and services where required to optimise business efficiency.

    Qualifications    

    • Completed Tertiary qualification in HR and/or Industrial Psychology
    • Qualification in Labour Law/Industrial Relations field would be advantageous

    Experience    

    • 7 - 10 years’ HR experience, of which 2 – 4 years in a Business Partnering role
    • Solid knowledge of Talent management principles and application/ implementation

    Duties    
    Talent Management & Acquisition

    • Manage delivery on talent acquisition with the support of relevant Business Unit and HR support

    Business partnership

    • Develop a good understanding of the business in order to partner at the right level and influence HR related decisions

    Blaster (Gamsberg)

    Overview    

    • The purpose of the Blaster is to ensure that all the prescribed duties are carried out in preparation for a blast, performing the blast and concluding post-blasting tasks, in line with all statutory, legal and BME SHERQ requirements.
    • Ensure that all excess accessories after the blast are recorded and to be destroyed according to the relevant mine standards at a place designated by the mine manager.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 ( Maths) Blasting certification (Open cast),
    • Magazine Master certificate
    • Blasting Certificate 

    Adventageous

    • Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering.

    Experience    

    • Ms office ( Word, excel, E-mail)
    • 3 Previous experience in a mining / explosives environment
    • 2 years Blasting / assistance experience

    Duties    

    • Ensures that the correct accessories necessary to carry out the blasting assignment are drawn from the magazine once the Blast Design / accessory order is received where applicable
    • Ensures that inspections of the vehicle are completed and that the pre-use checklist filled in prior to the use of the accessory transport vehicle
    • Ensures that all the tasks necessary for preparing the blast are carried out in accordance with statutory/legal/BME requirements, including priming, pumping and stemming, timing design, as well as all the SHERQ requirements
    • Approves the blasting after ensuring the safety of the area and that the all the required pre-blast procedures have been correctly carried out
    • Ensures that the required inspections are made
    • Responsible for declaring the area safe after the blast
    • Ensures that the necessary administration and reporting are completed
    • Supervises the work of Blasting Assistants and mixer-placer trucks
    • Deals with unacceptable behaviour
    • Escalates serious offences to Foreman
    • Allocates relevant housekeeping tasks to the blasting team and ensures completion thereon.

    Plant Controller - Killarney Gardens / Blackheath

    Overview   

    • The Plant Controller directly supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers, such as packing and/ or blending of products as per the work instructions.
    • The successful incumbent will assist the Site Manager and management with relevant tasks and duties.
    • They are expected to work safely in a chemical environment and follow the company/site rules.

    Qualifications    

    • University (First degree) Preferably a Chemical Engineering Degree

    Duties    
    Operations Management:

    • Oversee an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues. Could involve responsibility for development or delivery (or both).

    Operating Machine or Equipment:

    • Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.

    Production Planning:

    • Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information.
