    Branch Administrator - Secunda

    Purpose of the role:

    A branch administrator oversees the operations of a branch of a company as an assistant to the manager. In this career, your job duties may include monitoring the proper operation of the facility, handling the daily accounting duties, and performing various administrative functions.

    Buyer

    Purpose of the Role

    We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business both locally and internationally. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. The buyer will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.

    The Buyer should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials both locally and internationally.
    • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
    • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
    • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
    • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
    • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
    • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and warehouse as required.
    • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
    • Relevant experience preferred.
    • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
    • Proficient in appropriate software.
    • Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Occasional domestic and/or international travel.
    • Experience in Electrical/Electronics preferred.

    Retail Counter Sales - Secunda

    Description

    Purpose:

    The Retail Counter salesperson is the first contact who meets customers when they first enter the store and provides excellent customer service.

    They are responsible for answering customer queries and resolve all their queries professionally to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

    Key Performance Arears:

    • Greeting customers and taking orders.
    • Possessing excellent product knowledge to inform and increase sales.
    • Following up on orders to prevent delay and frustration.
    • Ensuring a clean and tidy counter.
    • Ensuring that each customer leaves the store satisfied.
    • Assist all customers at the counter with their queries.
    • Must treat all the customers with respect and courtesy.
    • Counter Sales which will include Quotations & Queries.
    • Must come from an Electrical Background.
    • Maintaining own Back Order Report.
    • Maintain good Time Management
    • Ensuring that Specials and Brochures are up to date that are on the Trade Counter
    • Additional responsibilities deemed necessary by Management
    • See to all telephonic sales quotations and queries
    • Load / Capture all sales orders and quotations on the computer system
    • Manage all back orders on all the above entered orders and follow up regularly
    • Advise customers of stock availability
    • Regularly monitor all quotes given

    Floor Assistant - Bellville

    Description

     Purpose:

    A Retail Floor Assistant sells products and assists customers in a store or retail outlet.

    Their primary duties include assisting, resolving customer issues and keeping the shop orderly.

    Key Performance Arears

    • You are to be always on the retail floor no more standing or being at the self-help point and no sitting while customers are in the shop or when there is work to be done.
    • You are to greet customers as they walk in and direct them to where they need to go or take them through to the shelves to get stock and assist them.
    • You are to inform them of specials we have running and hand out flyers that are available.
    • You can assist customers with part numbers if they do not have them which assists us at the trade counter.
    • You are to familiarise yourselves with the retail store and where to find items and find locations.
    • You are to try upselling to customers by asking them what else they need or use.
    • You are to pick stock for the sales people behind the trade counter but only in retail not at the warehouse.
    • Please note that quotes required are to be done by the sales staff behind the trade counter you are merely to assist the customer with parts he needs for his quote.
    • If a customer just needs a price you may assist with this using the self-help point.
    • You will be given 3 aisles to maintain which will be your responsibility to always keep merchandised and neat.
    • You will be required to work until the last customer leaves the store daily.
    • Uniform and name badges are to be always worn.
    • There will be no eating allowed on the retail or any food at the counters. Tea and coffee are allowed but these are to be kept under the counter and out of sight.
    • There will be other duties that you will be required to do from time to time which may not be stipulated in your contract.
    • Assist when and where needed.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

    •  Grade 12
    •  2-5 years’ Retail Experience
    •  Computer literacy
    •  High attention to detail
    •  People orientated and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
    •  Ability to work under pressure
