    Data Team Lead (Service Owner)

    The Data Team Lead (Service Owner) will lead the team responsible for services and resources, governing and maintaining the platform and systems that supports all teams in a data centric environment.

    Responsibilities:

    The Data Team Lead is accountable for the following:

    • Managing a team of highly skilled Data Engineers (includes technical mentorship, coaching, career development, performance reviews)
    • Successfully leading software release management through effective deployment, communication and adherence to guidelines for data solutions.
    • Ensuring processes are in place to continually analyse and improve data management strategies and KPI’s. 
    • Responsible for the communication of all pertinent information including the impact, solution, duration, commercial benefit of any release to internal stakeholders and the customer.
    • Successfully completing projects through efficient collation of information, data understanding, allocation of people resource and communication.
    • Ensuring all new data pipelines and services can be monitored, minimizing the impact of irrelevant and false alerts and ensuring that only valid critical alerts are captured and alerted on.
    • The management of requirements at various stages of the SDLC and continuously manage risks/issues and the statuses of the various initiatives with an in depth understanding of the detail. 
    • Leading change management activities.

    What you will need to succeed:

    Experience and Skills:

    • Significant experience and domain knowledge within a technology or iGaming organization.
    • A proven track record of managing a team of Data/Software Engineers
    • Strong leadership skills including coaching and developing Engineers in order to build a talented, motivated and professional team.
    • Knowledge of DevOps best practice.
    • High attention to detail.
    • An emphasis on excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and perform well under pressure.
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Ability to identify key areas for automation and innovation.
    • Implementation of Preventative Measures
    • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
    • A strong work ethic with an emphasis on teamwork.
    • Project Planning and Delivery.

    You’ll also need knowledge of:

    • Databricks
    • Data modelling
    • Cloud Computing
    • Azure, AWS, PaaS, Saas
    • PowerBI / Tableau
    • Exploratory Data Analysis - EDA

    Developer Level 2

    Key Requirements

    • Minimum 3 -ear relevant qualifications and at least 2 years of software development experience OR

    • Have implemented solutions on Cloud technologies- Azure and Kubernetes preferable
    • API Development
    • Understand the SDLC.
    • SQL/NoSQL Database
    • UI

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluating and implementing new technology
    • Assisting other departments to adopt these technologies
    • Collaborating with Architects to align with business goals.
    • Attending to relevant development tasks such as feature development
