    Who are we looking for? 

    Our Marketing and Media Review Services team at PwC is looking for an experienced Manager to help the media and advertising industry rebuild trust and establish transparency within digital and programmatic advertising.

    The role will involve developing and growing a portfolio of clients and projects while helping with areas such as: 

    •  Advertisers - Consulting on and reviewing martech strategy, integration and partnerships and third-party tools. Supply path optimisation documentation and advice. Support in preparation for the post-cookie ecosystem. Audience-led marketing capabilities and strategies 
    •  Martech - Assessing marketing technology application, journey support, activation strategies and interaction with other foundational technologies like data analytics tools, CRM systems, Marketing Cloud technologies, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and tag management solutions. Developing marketing technology cost/benefit analyses and driving PwC’s market understanding (partner technologies, trends, costs) 
    • Adtech - Structuring internal processes and controls to reassure business partners that they are open/fair/transparent/data is secure etc.
    •  Media owners - Providing review services over their long-term digital strategy, data monetisation and tech opportunities and integrations. Support preparation for the post-cookie ecosystem 
    •  Agencies - Providing review services over their offerings and partnerships to clients .

    This person will play a key role in: 

    •   Supporting the wider team with their digital and programmatic engagements 
    •   Selling and delivering solutions to client challenges 
    •   Developing new solutions for us to take to clients across digital and martech advertising products
    •   Upskilling our teams in both the concepts and practicalities of using and advising on programmatic tools and techniques 
    •   Building and maintaining a strong internal and external network, including profile-raising activities
    •   Identifying and filling talent gaps in our team 

    Requirements 
    Qualifications and experience 

    •   University/college undergraduate degree/diploma (minimum two year, marketing-based subjects preferred)
    •   Three years of in-depth experience across digital and marketing technology ideally in at least two of the following industry sectors: advertiser, martech, ad tech 

    Essential skills: 

    •   Strong communication and presentation skills, in particular with senior personnel 
    •   Strong analytical skills, ability and eagerness to deal with complex issues
    • Strong project management skills and record of leading teams (an average team size is 4 – 6 people)
    •   Very good understanding of digital advertising and programmatic trading 
    •   Self-starter and problem-solver 
    •   Experience working in martech platforms (CDP, CRM, Audience and tag management) e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Oracle Marketing Cloud 
    •   Experience working in demand-side platforms e.g. Google DV360, The Trade Desk, MediaMath, Amobee, Xandr, Amazon Ads Manager, Adform 
    •   Experience in building audience-led solutions for marketing capabilities 
    •   Experience in building strategies and leading integrations for marketing technology solutions ● Exposure to wider offline media channels and strategy 
    •   Holistic understanding and experience using a suite of tools for example, but not limited to:
    •   Adservers, e.g. Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek 
    •   Verification tools, e.g. MOAT, Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify

    Role Summary:

    • Our PwC Service Delivery Centre has an opportunity available for a Financial Statement Specialist (IFRS) with completed SAICA Articles who will be responsible for rendering audit support services. The main duty will include the performance of financial statement disclosure checklists on behalf of the audit teams. Other responsibilities may include assistance with Financial Statement Quality Checks.

    Qualifications / Certifications required:

    • Completed SAICA articles with relevant degree and ITC

    OR

    • Qualified SAIPA candidates

    OR

    • Chartered Accountant (SA) (preferred)

    Experience required:

    • Experience on large listed companies will be advantageous.
    • Post article working experience will be advantageous.

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Performing financial statement disclosure checklists.This includes financial statements prepared using IFRS, IFRS for SMEs and other relevant reporting frameworks.
    • Assisting with Financial Statement Quality Checks (FSQCs) on financial statements may also be required from time to time.

    FSQCs include for example:

    • Agreeing comparative figures to prior year financial statements
    • Checking mathematical accuracy
    • Checking internal consistency i.e. between the face of the statements and the notes thereto; page references; note references
    • Sequence checks i.e. page numbers; note numbers
    • Agreeing current year figures to supporting documentation
    • Checking changes across multiple drafts.
    • Skill sets required:

    • Computer literate - Good knowledge of Excel

    Qualifications / Certifications required:

    • A related tertiary qualification - Diploma or Degree: Accounting / Auditing or similar

    Experience required:

    • One years’ relevant experience in an Auditing environment would be advantageous 

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Work under the supervision of a Manager;
    • Perform general auditing functions according to PwC methodologies including but not limited to: bank confirmations investment confirmations, group deliverables, receivable confirmations, checking and casting of financials, obtain/coordinate and summarize ISA 402 supporting documentation;
