    Supervisor: Foreman - Fourways

    Job Description    

    • To coordinate, plan and deliver daily team tasks in the Repairs, Servicing and Support Services function, through the execution of pre-defined objectives as per agreed OEM standard operating procedures.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Ensure an optimal productive and an efficient team.
    • Ensure Quality workmanship delivered to customers.
    • Communicate technical information, challenges and decisions to customers.
    • Development of employees and ensure required certification is in for the specific tasks.
    • Responsible for Health and Safety.

    Qualifications and Experience    
    Min Requirements –Qualification

    • Grade 12/Matric.

    • Knowledge of service core processes.
    • Supervisory/Management courses would be beneficial.
    • Previous relevant work experience as a technician.

    Service Technician- Passenger cars- Klerksdorp

    Job Description    

    • Mercedes-Benz Klerksdorp currently has a vacancy of Service Technician.
    • Reporting to the Service Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to repair/service vehicles according to dealer/distributor's standards and specifications in the most productive way.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Repair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer/distributor standards and within the flat rate
    • Establish parts required for service/repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered            
    • Report to Service Foreman promptly on any additional work required                                    
    • Obtain authorization prior to carrying out any additional work                                                 
    • Advise Management prior to fitting any major parts outside the norm for routine servicing/repair
    • Obtain technical information from Service Foreman on problem jobs                                     
    • Adhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by manufacturer, or as instructed by Management
    • Adhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures                                                              
    • Note the description of all work performed on the back of Repair Order if required              
    • Place all used parts in plastic bag, except oil & fuel filters, and place on passenger floor     
    • All warranty replaced parts to be tagged according to laid down rules, and handed to Parts Dept.    
    • Ensure all oils and parts used are booked out on Repair Order                                                  
    • Ensure vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied  
    • Ensure work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy                                                                                   
    • Ensure time started and completed are entered on Repair Order (Clocking)                         
    • Report any faulty and / or broken equipment is reported to management                            
    • Ensure all special tools and equipment are used with utmost care                                          
    • To possess a complete set of tools, as per distributor requirements, and maintain in good working order   
    • Always ensure a neat appearance - overalls to be changed after repairs  
    • Maintain cordial relationship with workshop staff                                                                        
    • Training as per OHS Requirements                                                                                                     
    • Standby and after hours servicing as per Service Foreman arrangements 
    • Accept responsibility for apprentices/helpers and impart through training /explanation/practice, the necessary skills required to perform the job correctly, and thereafter to inspect /monitor the work and rectify any problems                    

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • Matric
    • Three-year experience on Repair and servicing of vehicles
    • A Valid Driver’s License 
    • Motor Mechanic Trade

    Administrator: Parts - Fourways

    Job Description    

    • This position will be suited to an experienced person who has the ability to be a Parts Admin computer literate in knowledge of Drive, ETKA and be able to build and maintain good relationships with the relative stakeholders.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Capture parts transactions on the Drive accounting system and the original equipment manufactory system called ETKA.
    • Ensure fast moving parts order is automated by the system.
    • Ensure stock levels are maintained for availability purposes to be distributed to internal customers.
    • Pick parts accordingly, and issue to technician timeously as per job cards.
    • Provide advice and report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making.
    • Order parts not kept in stock once authorized by Service advisor.
    • Accurately reconcile transaction records of parts, products and accessories in order to enable verification of the validity of transactions.
    • Adhere to legal compliance to the FICA regulation, POPI Act, Customer Protection Act, Health and Safety requirements.
    • Resolve workshop complaints, ensuring problems are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Monitor and report on trends and anomalies in respect of parts, products and accessory consumption and make recommendations for improvement.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • 3 years Parts Warehousing Experience essential
    • A minimum of Grade 12.
    • Computer literate in Kerrdge.

    Skills and Personal Attributes    

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Relationship management, peers, staff, suppliers and OEM
    • VWSA, ETKA experience will be preferable
