    Focused Improvement Market Pillar Leader

    Job description

    Job Number: 170003M4

    The main purpose of the job is to Lead the implementation of the FI Pillar methodologies, which aim to "identify relevant problems and solve them effectively" across the Market organization (Operations/Beyond Operations functions and business units at market level), through training, coaching and assessment activities.

    Key Result Areas

    • Lead FI implementation as part of NCE initiatives (Foundations, Lean and TPM) inside the market
    • Establish the FI Pillar measures and ensure proper governance and routines at all levels through operational reviews;
    • Track/understand FI impact on market (results connected with business) and achievements of FI Pillar (e.g. FI success stories) in order to identify potential gaps/opportunities and address them in a timely manner;
    • Ensure the on-time and full implementation of improvements projects/initiatives to realise the committed business results.
    • Lead the FI training, coaching and assessment strategy and execution at market level
    • Develop and implement FI training, coaching and assessment planning according to roll-out plans (as part of NCE initiatives) and in line with stakeholders (NCE Champions, Function NCE Champions and NCE Initiatives Leaders),
    • Deliver appropriate training and coaching to transfer FI knowledge to FI Pillars at the units;
    • Perform regular coaching visits to FI Pillars in the market functions to ensure the correct application of methods and knowledge sharing.
    • Maintain and retain Market FI Pillar team at market levels
    • Foster FI implementation as part of NCE initiatives (Foundations, Lean and TPM), promoting good practices and sharing across organization at all levels of lessons learned.
    • Select, train and manage resources within FI Market Pillar, including the Market Pillar Members as part of the Market Pillar team.
    • Engage FI Sponsors at all market levels, providing a clear understanding of FI potentials (benefits and competency building) through appropriate communication channels and training/coaching sessions.
    • Maintain key relationships
    • Market NCE Initiative Leaders Market HR Business Partner, Market / Functional Leaders, NCE Champions at market levels, Market line managers and FI network across zones, markets, functions and units.
    • Improvement of asset intensity in factories
    • Development of FI coordinators based in factories
    • Coaching of factories to achieve results

    Key Requirements

    • Six Sigma Black or green belt certification and Undergrad in Manufacturing or Engineering
    • 5 years’ experience in a continuous Improvement role preferably in the FMCG, Automotive, Supply Chain or Food Production Industry.
    • Experienced successful FI implementation at Unit/Functional level within Nestlé or equivalent experience in a complex, international environment
    • Successfully led and developed cross-functional teams
    • Leading and coaching problem-solving activities (basic, intermediate and complex problem-solving methodologies including Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification and SMED projects

    Senior Brand Manager

    Job description

    Key Outputs

    • Understand category dynamics and identify ways to improve Brand performance in short, medium and long term.
    • Collaborate with Functional teams to implement Brand strategy
    • Develop brand plans, with specific focus on the next year aligning with Business Unit on activity grids for planned new products and key promotional initiatives.
    • Work cross functionally to develop the specific parts of the budgeted plan, including and new product timelines, trade activities, volumes, pricing, promotion and media support. .
    • Provide input to finance to develop the category and brand P&L for the Budget and manage the business via a monthly in-depth review of the P&L.
    • Present an overview of the category, as well as plans to drive Category share performance and financial KPI’s in monthly corporate review meetings.
    • Manage the detail of new product introductions, and transitions on existing products via cross functional collaboration in various meetings.
    • Develop high impact consumer communications, by integrating all media options to achieve brand and business goals which maximize our Return on Investment.
    • Contributes to development and executes strong, functionally aligned brand and ICP plan. Tracks and monitors the performance, health and strategic alignment. Understands business impact of marketing investment and trade spend investment of her/his brand
    • Ensures consumer centricity, applies Innovation levers, contributes and executes Innovation pipeline, maintains vibrancy via relevant renovation for his/her brands
    • Understands shopper behaviour & in-store environment, contributes to category/channel/customer strategy, input into the pricing strategy, proposes SKUs for key channels and key customers
    • Develop comprehensive marketing plans that bring brand into life through creative implementation of core mix to achieve strategies

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Marketing related focus / Honours preferred
    • Minimum of 4-5 years brand management experience (preferably in a FMCG environment) with a reasonable amount of exposure to the Classical Marketing including the following competencies consumer insight, strategy, budget & planning, promotions management, business & financial management, new product development, Digital media, advertising development & an understanding of the trade
    • Experience working in cross functional teams.

    CCSD Manager / Trade Marketing Manager (Nutrition)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accountable & Responsible for driving the market commercial planning process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating understanding of shoppers, category, customer, competition, channel and external environment) and develop a category/channel commercial activity calendar.
    • Development and implementation of Category/Channel strategy in order to ensure category sustainability and growth through the understanding of shopper mission and behaviour.
    • Manage and lead a pivotal monthly sales review meeting as part of the monthly business cycle process for the relevant category.
    • Perform rigorous category/channel analysis and competitor analysis to understand growth (existing and potential) and allocate category Trade Spend budget accordingly.
    • Accountable and Responsible for monitoring promotional trends, initiatives and competitor actions by Category/ sub Category, priority channels and strategic customers in South African for the respective category. Identify and recommend promotional opportunities for respective category and Brands.
    • Accountable for proposing optimal Trade spend budget for the respective category by channel based on the Commercial planning process. Ensure all trade spend investments are properly reviewed and evaluated.
    • Accountable and Responsible for ensuring a relevant in-store vision of success (Perfect Store) for the Category/ sub Category in each channel. Recommends actionable in-store solutions to support in-store vision. Support its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of in-store actions.
    • Manage the development, presentation and negotiation of category reviews to ensure distribution and shelf management opportunities are maximized, in line with category/channel business plans
    • Evaluate and understand competitors and their activities and formulate proactive responses.
    • Develop new and evaluate existing route to market strategy and action changes where applicable.
    • Manage and motivate the Category Sales Development team performance, identify career development options and training needs. Develop and manage individual team members to be able to meet their performance/career objectives.

    Key Requirements

    • Matric
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing / BBA Degree
    • 5 years or more experience within FMCG
    • Ideal candidate should have experience in both Key Account Management & Trade Marketing
    • Problem solving, team building.
    • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP and AMM)
    • Shopper insight skills
    • Confidence dealing with multiple data sources
    • Previous face to face customer exposure
    • Strong commercial experience within a trade, brand or category role
    • Confident communication and presentation skills
    • Financial awareness of Return on Investment
    • Willingness to travel
