    Technology Platform Lead

    Job Description

    • To contribute to the design and development of new applications / systems to meet the business requirements of the data platform environment. 
    • To analyse business or system requirements and build and enhance the data platforms.
    • To participate in and provide input to the Architect during the compilation of solution design documentation for new and existing data platforms.      
    • To translate business needs into practical Information Technology (IT) systems solutions, high level implementation plans, influence prioritization of execution of business initiatives through the use of IT solutions design thinking and to lead an Information Technology systems solutions team with the purpose of supporting and enabling the realisation of business strategies and objectives.
    • Builds and maintains effective relationship with business management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure implementation of the business Transformation plan and creation of an inclusive culture for employees.
    • Design and deliver customer service solutions, systems and interactions aligned to Organisational values and service standards that build the brand.
    • Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans to facilitate the provision of adequate financial resources.

    Segment Enterprise Architect

    Job Description

    • To ensure alignment of all segment specific capabilities to the business strategy by using multiple architectural models/views showing current and future capabilities and designing heterogeneous solutions to ensure resiliency and efficiency of the FRG (inclusive of RMB and FNB) systems. 
    • To lead the process of converting the segment requirements into an architectural design that will be used as the blueprint for new solutions and governance. 
    • To facilitate the conception of high-level solutions, build consensus, and sell solutions The Segment Enterprise Architect will perform all system management and performance functions to ensure architectural consistency and coherence between technical and business processes.
    • Create business architecture models to reflect the organisation’s strategies and goals.
    • Create a broad view of the organisation’s current and future technology needs, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Improve current IT infrastructure, and optimise business operations for efficiency with an emphasis on knowledge sharing among partners.

    • Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management and change control.

    • Address the conceptual/planning level of architecture in collaboration with other architects focused on the needs of the technology, business and information architectures.
    • Build the transition architecture to connect the current to the future state by creating an iterative roadmap to get to the desired state.
    • Engage in and build a gap analysis and/or IT investment roadmap that reflects the status of the existing IT estate, namely, its ability to contribute to future-state business capabilities around ecosystems and digital platforms.
    • Seek opportunities to highlight how digital business initiatives will potentially impact business and IT architecture and metrics.
    • Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks.
    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
    • Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.

    • To oversee the full lifecycle of a trade from Pricing to Settlement and the impact on Market Risk, Finance, Credit Risk and Collateral by enhancing current functionality and building out for new business requirements across Markets, Banking and Treasury Business Units.
