    Strategic Analyst

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    • Regular reporting and analysis on various aspects of the business.
    • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of actual performance vs forecast and vs budget
    • Reporting on various sections of the P/L (E.g. Employment, Marketing, Sales costs, IT costs, Property costs, Operational costs & Utilities).
    • Reporting on and performing analysis on the business’ membership numbers, including sales, terminations and transfers.
    • Reporting using various P/L views in line with local and Group reporting requirements
    • Monthly reporting to the Group of SA P/L and membership performances
    • Assisting with the maintenance of our 5 year forecasting model and the development of this model.
    • Budget preparation and analysis to support strategic direction of the business.
    • This includes bottom-up budgeting for various sections of the P/L (E.g. Employment, Marketing, Sales costs, IT costs, Property costs, Operational costs & Utilities) in conjunction with the HODs and Business unit owners, by providing relevant financial information and assisting with calculations and analysis to ensure accurate budgeting and budget adherence.
    • Being the finance business partner to various departments by providing the HODs with the relevant financial information to assist with budget preparation, budget adherence and evaluating ad-hoc projects (pre & post).
    • Financial appraisals of investment opportunities, including:
    • Financial modelling and scenarios analysis;
    • Analysis of member and other business information in support of this investment
    • Preparing relevant, concise and accurate reports supporting the model for Management. 
    • Value-adding analysis requested by VA Management. This would include but is not limited to:
    • Appraisal of membership contract changes; sales efficiencies and other income generating opportunities;
    • Evaluating of operating costs which will include the allocation of employed resources; structure amendments; utility efficiencies; rental costs and any other cost saving opportunities;
    • Developing and maintaining Best in Class (BIC) models for the business and implementing these in other areas;
    • Performing any other ad-hoc analysis as and when required.
    • Identification and analysis of trends and performance in the business.
    • Monthly reporting requirements to support decision-making processes above.
    • Assisting with and preparing Board Submission files in conjunction with the live forecasts and Budgets.
    • Assisting Management with ad-hoc analysis and report preparation.

    • CA (SA) with 2-4 years post-qualification experience.

    Systems Analyst

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    System Maintenance and Support:

    • Maintain and support the Membership Management System.
    • Maintain and support D365 Finance and Operations.
    • Manage integrations with banks, payment gateways, and other third-party solutions.

    L2 and L3 Support:

    • Provide L2 and L3 support for systems within the Service and Operations team.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.

    Operational Support:

    • Respond to and resolve issues as requested by the Service and Operations department.
    • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure system efficiency and performance.
    • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.

    Additional Duties:

    • Assist with any other tasks or projects as assigned by the Head of Service and Operations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve system performance and user experience.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of Membership Management Systems and D365 Finance and Operations.

    • Proficiency in running and managing Debit Order processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Working knowledge and skill on database management and SQL (MySQL, SQL Server)

    Global Technical Product Owner

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    • Translate the business strategy and core objectives into a world class App, and WhatsApp channel.
    • Define the product features required to deliver the business objectives.
    • Manage the product backlog and prioritize development requirements.
    • Manage delivery through IT team and external suppliers; act as the key point of contact for these teams
    • Key point for escalation of App and WhatsApp issues
    • Monitor product performance and continuously optimise product features and drive user engagement.
    • Collaborate with the Global Chief of Customer Value and global teams including IT, external suppliers, marketing and operations to deliver high quality products, features & services for our customers, meeting our  business goals.
    • Work closely with our customers and the teams in each market to understand their needs and gather feedback on product features, establishing a global standard while allowing for local requirements.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.
    • Define and prioritise product features and requirements to increase revenue, CLV, drive product adoption and reduce churn.
    • Closely align with the Virgin Active Head of Loyalty to deliver this key customer benefit through the app.
    • Develop and maintain the product backlog that align with the product roadmap and company's vision and strategy.
    • Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product planning, testing and release.
    • Manage key supplier relationships, including budgets.
    • Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimise product features and drive user engagement.
    • Leverage data insights to deeply understand member behaviours and patterns to better inform business retention and CLV initiatives.
    • Communicate product vision and status and measures of success to all stakeholders.
    • Continuously assess and improve product processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Engagement with marketing relating to CRM and other customer channels (email, SMS, social and paid media)
    • Establishment of measures of success for the product and reporting against these
    • Responsible for key product metrics: app downloads, use, ratings.

    • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on digital channels
    • Experience managing build and run projects.
    • Experience with prototyping, testing, and validating product hypotheses
    • Experience defining, prioritising, and communicating a product roadmap across the organisation.
    • Managing and building out a backlog with a focus on iterative and continuous delivery
    • Experience building products iteratively by applying lean principles and focusing on MVPs.
    • Hands-on experience working with Engineering teams in an Agile environment with an understanding of agile development process.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with cross functional teams.
    • Proven experience driving customer value through engagement and retention strategies across various member segments and channels.
