    Account Manager - B2

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • Responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key accounts within the mining sector by delivering high quality customer service, installation and repair of safety equipment. Manage staff efficiently and grow the business by cross selling to existing customers and generating new business.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Diploma
    • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in mining operations, with at least 2-5 years in a managerial role Experience in the electronics industry/mining industry and/or with materials used in electronics manufacturing
    • Own Transport and valid driver's license

    Responsibilities

    Account Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing mine accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the mining sector.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Ensure on-site delivery to meet SLA requirements.

    Sales Strategy and execution:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and sales contracts to potential and existing clients.

    Customer Relations and Service:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
    • Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to review performance, discuss future needs and explore opportunities for collaboration.

    Technical Support and consultation:

    • Collaborate with the technical team to provide customers with expert advice and solutions tailored to their specific requirements.
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements in mining technology and electronics materials to offer cutting-edge solutions to customers.

    Negotiation and contract management:

    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure all contracts and agreements are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

    Sales reporting and analysis:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and pipeline status in the sales process.
    • Analyse sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

    Collaboration and coordination:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
    • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery and availability of products to meet customer demands.
    • Ensure efficient installation and repair of safety equipment so that products are functioning according to required standards.
    • Respond promptly to customer call-out requests in the event of breakdowns.
    • Effectively resolve breakdowns within required timelines (identify, analyse and find solutions to problems)
    • Project manage large and small projects according to company project management schedules and templates.
    • Feed new product design ideas or upgrades from customer to R&D team and provide feedback to customer with the R&D team's recommendations
    • Complete reporting requirements and administration timeously and accurately (COCs, invoices, PODs, procurement card slips, SLAs, SRs, time sheets etc.)

    Resource Planning:

    • Plan and coordinate the allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
    • Develop and implement strategies for efficient resource utilization.
    • Ensure adequate supplies of critical materials and equipment

    Staff Management/Team Leadership:

    • Lead and manage a team of Site Supervisors and Technicians.
    • Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Oversee new staff acquisition, including interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Assist Human Resources with disciplinary actions and non-performance procedures

    Technical Specialist - A2

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • The Technical Specialist is responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance for Booyco electronic systems and equipment used in mining operations. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing electronic control systems to ensure their effective operation. The specialist will enhance Booyco's service delivery by supporting assigned areas, account managers, project technicians, and the technical superintendent. Ensuring the proper functioning of all Booyco systems within the designated mines is critical.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Matric and bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an Electrical Trade Certification.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience with electronic systems in the mining industry.
    • Proven experience with PCBs, CPS, instrumentation, and control systems (PLCs).
    • Own transport and a valid driver's license

    Responsibilities

    System maintenance and troubleshooting:

    • Lead root cause analysis investigations into product failures and implement effective solutions.
    • Conduct continuous research, diagnosis, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve product-related issues.
    • Document all test results, technical issues, recommendations, and solutions to improve product offerings.
    • Conduct at least one technical audit per mine per month, discussing findings with the Area Manager, Account Manager, and Technical Superintendent.
    • Use audit findings to drive continuous improvement, implementing corrective actions with management support.
    • Test, verify, and roll out new hardware and software updates.
    • Update all supporting technical documentation and perform demonstrations of new technology to customers.
    • Regularly review engineering specifications and standards on client installations as per Section 21 files.
    • Conduct site visits to assist with product implementation and resolution.
    • Provide technical training and support to Field Technicians.
    • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electronic control systems and equipment.
    • Ensure minimal downtime by promptly addressing and fixing electronic equipment malfunctions.

    Installation and commissioning:

    • Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new electronic systems and equipment.
    • Work with project teams to ensure electronic systems are installed according to specifications and standards.
    • Test and validate the performance of newly installed equipment before handover to operations.

    Technical Support and Training:

    • Provide on-site and remote technical support to mining operations teams.
    • Train and guide operators and maintenance personnel on the proper use and care of electronic systems.
    • Develop and update training materials and technical documentation.

    System Optimization and Upgrades:
