    Stores Clerk- Production - Benoni

    Job Description    

    • RCL believes in doing more! We are passionate about our commitment to providing more food to more people more often. The recruitment team is on the hunt for a Stores Clerk for our Benoni  Bakery. This position will report to the Recon Clerk.The successful incumbent will be responsible for Internal procurement controls. Internal departments stock control as directed by the Recon Clerk.Successful candidates will be working shifts, weekends (including Sunday), overtime and public holidays as and when required.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12.
    • A formal qualification would be an added advantage
    • Drivers Licence will be added advantage
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an FMCG environment
    • Ensure compliance to start up procedures
    • Maintain company food safety and health & Safety guidelines. 
    • Manage housekeeping and handling activities of produce area.
    • Maintain clean and sanitized work area.
    • Ensure compliance with company regulations and safety standards.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Manage stock levels to ensure continuous production
    • Ensure that stock is rotated on a First In First Out basis
    • When orders arrive ensure that goods are checked and correspond to the order, delivery note and / or invoice
    • Record the date and time received and sign the relevant paper work.
    • Any short and over deliveries must be recorded on the order, invoice and / or delivery note. The relevant paperwork must be signed by the Storeman and person responsible for deliveries.
    • Any goods returned to Suppliers must be recorded on the Goods Returned Note and signed by the Storeman and person collecting the goods.
    • Make out GNRs from delivery notes / invoices from suppliers. Invoices, delivery notes & orders must be attached immediately on delivery
    • Ensure all raw material delivered accompany a COC
    • Ensuring that all material certificates compare with material identification and then correctly filed.
    • Ensure all incoming raw material are checked and the document are completed and signed before it is filed
    • Ensure all defective raw materials are returned to the suppliers immeadiately and all relevant role players external and internal are informed
    • Ensure raw material that found rejected after the delivery, are communicated and uplifted by the supplier immediately
    • Ensure all rejected raw and packaging material are segregated isolated and kept in the “On Hold” area
    • Controlling raw material issued to production and slicing.
    • Ensuring that all raw material are re-ordered to requirements of the individual stock codes. Controlling the issue of raw material by strict and forceful control to systems
    • Regulating and controlling access to stores by suppliers and employees

    Stores Clerk- Maintenance (Benoni)

    Job Description

    • We at RCL FOODS are in search for a Maintenance Stores Clerk to join our Baking Business Unit/Division. The role will be based in Benoni and report to the Maintenace Manager. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Computer literate, proficient in Excel, Outlook, Work and Software systems
    • Organized and systems orientated.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Knowledge of industrial parts, tools and equipment
    • Knowledge of general industrial stockroom practices and procedures
    • Grade 12.
    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Check parts catalogue for proper part identification
    • Contact vendors to obtain quotes and prices
    • Prepare parts requisition Issue purchase order numbers
    • Issue purchase order numbers
    • Receive shipments from vendors
    • Check vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy
    • Enter receipts and distribution of parts/supplies into computer
    • Issue replacement parts to maintenance department
    • Assist maintenance department in choice of parts
    • Receive and complete all job cards
    • Do oil and lubrication stock sheet and balance
    • Assist Depots with parts and consumables needed
    • Conduct periodic stock takes

    Diesel Mechanic Assistant - Rustenburg

    • The successful incumbent will be responsible for mechanical /auto-electrical repairs within the Transport Department and various depots of the Bakery.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have a recognized Tertiary Qualification especially in the auto-electrical field and or Mechanical field.
    • Must have working experience in the running repairs of vehicles:
    • Attend to on road breakdowns.
    • Change wheels/tyre’s
    • Change, bleed and adjust brakes.
    • Change starter, alternator, water pump and V belts.
    • General electrical repairs.
    • Small body repairs and welding.
    • Removing and fitting prop shaft.
    • Small service work – change filters, oil and inspect oil levels.
    • Change Radiators.
    • Service or change wheel bearings.
    • Bleed fuel injection system.
    • Driver’s license with PRDP, code: C, C1 or EC.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

    • Work closely with Transport Manager to ensure the success of the department.
    • Knowledge of auto electrical repairs and must communicate this to Transport Manager.
    • Have solid mechanical knowledge of mechanical repairs due on Fleet and communicate to
    • Transport Manager.
    • Assist Manager in controlling Transport costs while maintaining the quality standards.
    • Assist Manager in controlling Transport costs while maintaining the safety standards.
    • Be able to diagnose & repair Isuzu faults as per Isuzu fault finding system (Fault codes).
    • Be able to check/repair alternators & starters as required.
    • Be able to diagnose & repair auto electrical faults on demand.
    • Be able to diagnose & repair mechanical faults on demand.
    • Review job orders and accordingly establish priorities and service schedules.
    • Plan and monitor auto electrical component movements to ensure continuous operations.
    •  Plan equipment &material needs for job card & service orders
    •  Work with Manager to prepare auto electrical jobs & mechanical jobs on time within specifications.
    • Be able to keep fleet of vehicles legal.
    • Be able to complete job cards in English for all work done.

    The business analyst assumes the role of delivering an effective and sustainable solution for the RCL FOODS IT Systems/Applications. The Business Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit & functional area assigned to them.

    • These solutions are aligned to the IT framework across all the application areas, namely: The business analyst works with the business to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes. Meet with relevant business representatives to establish, understand and document detailed business requirements to be met by the project. To analyses discrepancies in services or performance and makes recommendations for updates/improvements to resolve them. The business analyst is involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems - assist in determining the project scope and agree a scope definition document as well as functional & technical specification document and ensure that full sign off is achieved prior to implementation. The business analyst solved business problems and designs technical solutions. Document business processes and represent them in flow diagrams. Facilitates the implementation of identified solutions utilizing recognized project management methodologies.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree in Information Technology / BCom / BSc.
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience within the relevant business function or information technology environment.
    • ERP Applications with specific reference to Supply Chain, Warehousing, Manufacturing and Finance.
    • Demonstrated success in managing projects relating to superior performance and Continuous Business Improvement.

    • Maintain a high-quality standard in IT delivery:
    • Ensures that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and IT.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all documentation accurately reflects the status of changes and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect application features and functions.
    • Ensures that IT programs/initiatives are consistently implemented and managed from an ITGC, TCO & Sustainability perspective.

    Process Leader - CCD Centurion

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is currently looking for a Process Leader to join our Speciality Business Unit to be based in Centurion. The Process Leader will be responsible for monitoring and managing the performance of a production department or area in the plant (including staff / process workers, machinery and material on that line),  to achieve daily targets to the required product specifications, while meeting safety, health and quality standards. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Diploma / BTech in Industrial Engineering. 
    • Relevant experience preferably in a Food Processing / Production Plant and or FMCG Production environment will be required.
    • Expected to have good Inter-personal communication and leadership skills.
    • Be willing to work shifts and flexible hours of work.
    • Expected to be literate and computer literate (basics).
    • Sound decision making skills.
    • Assertiveness and self confidence.
    • A result driven self-starter.
    • Ability to work under pressure.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Production Planning  

    • Communicate the objectives of the plan to the team on shift to ensure understanding. 
    • Ensure man load is at full capacity according to the production plan, and request additional resources if necessary before starting the line.

    Operations Management

    • Follow the assigned plan until completed.
    • Ensure allocated resources are accounted for throughout the shift. 
    • Reallocate resources / work within area of responsibility if behind target, and change deadlines if necessary to ensure the achievement of production targets.
    • Request additional resources if necessary to produce the required products.
    • Work with existing processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced.
    • Recommend new and different ways of doing things to improve yield and performance (whilst still maintaining product integrity).

    Safety, Health, Risk and Quality Compliance  

    • Work consistently according to standard operating procedures and ensure compliance.
    • Understand the safety, health and quality standards of the job and the reason for these standards, and communicate these reasons to others.
    • Ensure compliance to HACCP and ISO regulations throughout the whole process.

    Cost Control

    • Monitor the line to ensure work is executed consistently according to standard operating procedures to minimize waste and reduce consumption where possible.
