    Ward Committee Officer: Office of the Speaker

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Garde 12. 
    • National Diploma (Public Administration) will be an added advantage. Computer Literate (MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint). 
    • Valid driver’s licence. 
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, assertiveness, leadership, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office management, strong administrative skills and writing and typing skills. 
    • Attention to detail. 
    • Project management skills.
    • Strong understanding of political / organisational policy, procedures, surrounds, and services related to ward committee operations and functions. 
    • At least 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience pertaining to ward committee or other community related services/programs.

    DUTIES:

    • Responsible for operations related to administration within the Ward Committee operations: 
    • Distribution of Ward Committee Resolutions to relevant stakeholders. 
    • Arrange, compile, and distribute Ward Committee meetings (Agenda and Minutes). 
    • Attending Ward Committee meetings. 
    • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to promote good working relations between ward committees and council. 
    • Proper workflow planning in terms of creating a favourable image of the council. 
    • Conflict, dispute, and grievance resolution from time to time. 
    • Developing and implementing operational/business plans developed in conjunction with ward committees to improve customer service. 
    • Perform any other related ad hoc duties or functions as required by the Speaker, Supervisor or Top Management.

    Plumber: Water Section _ MN3775/24

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. 
    • Recognised Manpower Trade Test in Plumbing (Red Seal). 
    • Any Technical qualification in Plumbing will be an added advantage. 
    • Code 10 (C1) Driver’s license with valid PDP. 
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Proven knowledge and skills pertaining to water distribution. Proven knowledge and skills pertaining to regulations of installation and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure. 
    • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills. 
    • Skills and competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills. 
    • A hard-working self-disciplined, trustworthy, and honest person. 
    • Three (3) years’ post -qualification relevant experience in Plumbing within a Local Government Authority

    DUTIES

    • Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution. 
    • Assemble and install valves and fittings. 
    • Install, repair, and maintain water pipes valves. 
    • Install, repair, and maintain underground water piping system. 
    • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures. 
    • Schedule work orders for teams and produce a detailed report on work completed. 
    • Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (Supervisor) from time to time.

    Senior Clerk Traffic: Administration_MN3770/24

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. 
    • Relevant Traffic Back Office Qualifications will be an added advantage. 
    • Computer literacy Certificate. 
    • Valid Driver’s License.

    • Cashier functions experience. 
    • Knowledge of Traffic Contravention System.

    • Monitor performance and to ensure smooth capturing and correct editing process. 
    • Implement and Monitor Council Policies and procedures in line with the Legislation. 
    • Responsible for handling and to verify admission of guilt register.
    • Manage clerk of the court functions. 
    • Responsible for representations via email, fax or those submitted personal. 
    • Liaise with Law Enforcement Superintendent regarding submission of new fines. 
    • Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

    Call Centre Agent

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. 
    • Call Centre Support/Contact Centre and/or Business Process Support. National Certificate (NQF Level 3) will be an added advantage. 
    • Fully Bi-Lingual (Afrikaans/English, and one local language viz. IsiZulu or Sesotho will be an added advantage. 
    • Computer Literate. Excellent communication, telephone etiquette and customer service skills. 
    • Passionate, motivated, and friendly individual. 
    • Attention to detail, office management and excellent administration skills. 
    • Knowledge of the Midvaal Local Municipality and municipal area will be a strong recommendation. 
    • 2-years relevant experience in call centre/customer service or similar pressurised environment dealing with complaints and inquiries, will be an added advantage. 
    • Candidates that apply should note that the post is a shift position, times of shifts are Day Shift: 06:00 to 14:00. Afternoon: 14:00 to 22:00. 
    • Applicants to note that first preference shall be given to qualifying candidates that reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality. Applicants must be able to travel to and from Midvaal Local Municipality.

    DUTIES

    • Provide a comprehensive call centre agent function related to receiving and dispatching calls, registering complaints and providing feedback to customers. 
    • Reach and exceed goals set by the municipality. 
    • Enhance customer service experience in a professional and polite manner. 
    • Ensure compliance with the municipality’s service charter and turn-around times on complaints. 
    • Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time.
