    HR Officer

    Job Description

    • AVI Ltd. is known for its leading household brands across many categories including hot beverages, sweet and savory biscuits, and snacks, frozen convenience foods, personal care products, cosmetics, shoes, accessories, and fashion apparel.
    • AVI Field Marketing is a shared services business unit within AVI. Field Marketing focuses on sales and merchandising for the beverages, snacking, and cosmetic business units to provide greater focus and to achieve an improved execution at store level. Field Marketing has its very own National Call Centre to support the Field Marketing team.
    • An exciting opportunity exists for an HR Officer for our Field Marketing regional office in Bloemfontein, Free State. Individual must be self-managed and organized in order to assist and support Line Management within Field Marketing Free State region through effective and efficient HR Administration and services. This includes coordinating HR activities related to the region's payroll, HR reporting, employee administration in an effort to ensure Field Marketing is well-positioned to offer comprehensive guidance and advice with regards to HR.     Area Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • AVI Field Marketing, a division of AVI Limited, handles the sales and merchandising for the beverages, snacking, and cosmetic business units to ensure improved execution at the store level.
    • An opportunity has become available for an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage retail customers and a staff complement of over 30 field employees and servicing the Bloemfontein area, covering Central Free State, Bloemfontein and surrounding areas. The successful candidate is required to perform a sales management function and ensure all business unit targets are achieved per the BU service level agreements. The successful candidate is also required to have strong people management skills as well as the ability to interact with customers at all levels, internally and externally. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and the successful Area Sales Manager will be expected to report to the regional office as and when required. This position requires an individual who enjoys a fast-paced, team-orientated environment who enjoys being challenged, and values the opportunity to make a difference.
    • Line Manager: Regional Operations Manager

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Monitor store ordering process, stock levels, and returns and take corrective action if required
    • Monitor pricing and ensure mandate adherence

    • Check-in stock, expiry dates and ensure shelf health standards are maintained

    • Good understanding and implementation of Human Resources and Industrial relations processes and procedures

    Qualifications:

    Sales Operations Manager

    Job Specification:

     Key Performance Areas:

    • Work in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to achieve the set targeted NSV sales for the region, deliver the targeted category gross profit and manage customer returns.

    • Execute specific “push” and “pull” initiatives as directed within region, through close liaison with AVI Field Marketing management.
    • Assist AVI Field Marketing management to identify new placement opportunities within region.
    • Provide input and assistance into training, development and motivation of the regional AVI Field Marketing Sales Team
    • Preparation and presentation of the yearly NBL regional plan in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • At least 5 years’ experience as a Millwright in high-speed packaging machines and plant equipment maintenance and repairs required within an FMCG environment.
    • Experience on one of the following: cartoning and case packing machines, Cermex, Bosch, Multi-head weighers will be advantageous.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Trade tested as a Millwright at an accredited training facility
    • Completed Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification or minimum N4 qualification

    Additional Requirements:

    • Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
    • Pneumatic and Electro-Pneumatic systems
    • PLC programming and VSD set-up knowledge is advantageous Knowledge of QMS, HACCP and GMP’s is an advantage
