    Stores Assistant

    About the Job

    Job Advert Summary

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate record keeping and stock control, as well as the reconciliation of stock. Also to ensure that housekeeping in and around the Chemical and Main Packaging Store is maintained according to the relevant standards.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
    • Two (2) years’ experience as a store assistant, receiver, or related position
    • Proficient writing skills, including basic accounting skills.
    • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift.
    • Physically able to lift 25 kg or more.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays.
    • Goal-oriented, organized team player
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail
    • Able to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
    • Good interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels.
    • The Store Assistant will have to pass a health clearance and induction course.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Keep record of all chemical issues on relevant documents.
    • Receive returned chemicals.
    • Ensure that housekeeping in and around the Chemical and Main Packaging Store is maintained according to the relevant standards.
    • Ensure Health & Safety rules and regulations are complied with in working area.
    • Stock control of chemicals, packaging and ingredients.
    • Reconcile the stock at end of shift and assist with stock take on weekly and monthly basis.

    Maintenance Foreman - Electrical

    • The successful candidate will assist with the management of the maintenance department to ensure the smooth running of the processing plant operations with minimal costs and downtime. In this operational role, the incumbent will be fully responsible and accountable for the management of the Electrical Maintenance & Scales Department.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • N3 Qualification
    • Electrical trade test qualification or diploma in electrical engineering
    • Electrical wireman’s license,
    • Computer literate (MS office software)
    • 3 years relevant poultry processing experience.
    • 5-10 Years in the relevant position
    • Refrigeration in NH3 (Advantageous)
    • Willing to work shifts.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conversant with PLC’s, VSD’s and soft starters.
    • Fault finding using ladder and electrical diagrams.
    • 11 kV switchgear and 11 kV to 400V transformer knowledge
    • Knowledge on 400V three phase Generators
    • Maintenance on boilers, cookers, and transformers
    • Programming of PLC’s
    • Experience in FMCG industry
    • Experience in the management of human resources
    • Ad hoc tasks given by management.
    • Knowledge of the OHS, environment and factory machinery legislations and regulations

    Maintenance Foreman- Mechanical

    • The successful candidate will assist the Maintenance Manager with the management of the maintenance department to ensure the smooth running of the processing plant operations with minimal costs and downtime.

    Minimum Requirements

    • N4 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent),
    • Relevant Trade Test/Red Seal Certificate
    • 3-5 years relevant experience in mechanical field
    • 5-10 years in the relevant position
    • Computer literacy is an added advantage for the suitable candidate.
    • Refrigeration in NH3 (Advantageous)
    • Willing to work shifts.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Accountable & responsible to manage and co-ordinate the mechanical department to ensure the correct process flow.
    • Maintain and continuously upgrade service function. e.g., order entries, correct maintenance program, scheduling of preventative maintenance.
    • Maintain the total quality systems with the mechanical department.
    • Manage planned maintenance systems in co-ordinance with engineering personnel.
    • Ensuring that regular inspection of equipment, are carried out.
    • Maintain operational budgets within maintenance.
    • Maintain proper external/ internal communication with suppliers, clients & various departments.
    • Ad hoc task given by management
    • Maintenance of boilers, cookers etc.
    • Safety and Health (OHSA).
