    Professional Nurse III, C3, KRL0111/24GS

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Provide quality customer service delivery within the occupational health centre
    • Comply and adhere to legal internal standards and procedures within the occupational health centre
    • Processing of contractor/ employee access and activation process at relevant site

    Seriti Green: Project Manager Solar

     Key responsibilities include:

    • To manage the project control resources required to deliver a cross functional engineering project.
    • To support the project with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement.
    • Minimise disputes and claims by pro-active communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Developing and managing the baseline schedule, monitoring and reporting on project performance, controlling changes to the baseline, managing project risks, and providing guidance and tools for earned value management.
    • Providing advice and consultation on the implementation of good planning procedures and controls. This covers information on earned value management, cost and schedule variance analysis, completion estimations, and critical path analysis. They help the project team make informed decisions and keep control of the project by providing experience in these areas.     Seriti Green: Systems Engineer

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Engineering

    • Undertake full responsibility of remote operations, monitoring, maintenance management and reporting of all renewable energy facilities operated by Seriti Green Asset Management (SGAM).
    • Determine node addresses, domain numbers, signaling protocol and synchronization sources by using his/her knowledge of design criteria of the Operations Technology (OT) network and applicable procedures and standards.
    • Oversee the commissioning of the Plant telecommunication system by collaborating with the EPC Contractor and group IT to bring new systems on-line.
    • Analyse the performance of renewable power production facilities.
    • Analyse supervisory alarms and invoke diagnostic routines to identify fault conditions.
    • Analyse faults using his field experience and decides on what corrective actions should be taken.
    • Determine risk and discuss with the Operations Manager and Engineering Manager before corrective actions are taken.
    • Provide suitable feedback and reports on the performance of the plants.
    • Identification of network refurbishment needs.
    • Investigating and identifying the various technology options with their associated costs to meets the SGAM long-term refurbishment and/or expansion requirements.
    • Liaising with Seriti Group IT to ensure that the most appropriate technology is used to meet the SGAM’s requirements considering life cycle cost and available budget.
    • Conduct site visits to examine existing equipment configuration.

    • Participate and contribute to the design team that liaises with stakeholders on technical inputs, scoping of the Facility and IPP Substation Control System (SCS) architecture, prioritization, adherence to the Employers Requirements (ER), assessment of modification, progress monitoring and reporting on associated risks.
    • Propose and pilot state-of-the-art technologies for use by the business to address complex telecommunication network problems.
    • Contribute to the concept, basic and detailed designs in full compliance with the ERs, relevant standards, and other design criteria to achieve an optimized asset base.
    • Perform appropriate interface designs and support with interface management.
    • Contribute to the documentation of the design package.
    • Support the provision of remote supervision and control of plant equipment.

    Construction and Operation

    • Responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are of the required quality standards, and that they meet the specifications and design requirements.
    • Responsible for overseeing the telecontrol equipment such as the IPP Substation Gateway with Integrated HMI Facilities, I/O Modules (provide interface to hardwired alarms and controls), and PC-based applications.
    • Reviewing work and tests reports of work performed on telecontrol and telecomms Plant equipment in the IPP Substation Control Room, validating results and recommending acceptance or further actions.
    • Regular site inspections and walkdowns to verify the electrical contractor’s performance, contract adherence, quality etc.
    • Conducting inspections, witnessing of material and component tests, and overseeing any necessary remediation work.
    • Close liaison with site team to ensure issues are being managed in accordance with the various contract requirements.
    • Support the development of Quality Assurance plans and scopes of work documents for HV and Secondary Plant equipment.
    • Close liaison with site team to manage issues in accordance with contract requirements, including commissioning and SCADA testing for Grid Code Compliance by the Renewable Energy Technical Evaluation Committee (RETEC).
    • Collaborate with the EPC Contractor to facilitate engagements with the National Control Centre (NCC), Regional Control Centre (RCC) and Standby National Control (Stabnec).
    • Support the handover of systems and communications assets to SGAM, providing necessary quality and operation and maintenance documentation.
    • Ensuring the availability of plant condition monitoring and reporting systems.
    • Recording of plant condition and plan performance and the trending thereof.
    • Conduct investigations into plant incidents and recommending interventions to bring plant back into service.
    • Providing breakdown intervention to ensure return to service of failed plant.
    • Investigating root causes of failures, identifying issues, investigating preventative measures and applying corrective action.
    • Evaluating risks to plant, based on plant reliability and making recommendations on strategic spared holding.
    • Compile and submit monthly plant performance and generation reports.

    Contract Management:

    • Ensure all project contract requirements are implemented.
    • Produce procedures for contract requirements implementation as required.
    • Follow company policies associated with contracts.
    • Initiate contractual claims as required.
    • Assist with reporting and processing monthly cost recording and processing.
    • Monitor, review, and ensure all Business Units deliver required reports.
    • Provide Project Reports according to project and company requirements.
    • Assist with estimating and provide guidance on costings and commercial matters, including commercial schedules for tender submissions on other projects.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • BSc, B.Eng or B.Tech in Electronic Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in a large-scale construction project environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of network data communications, client/server functions and hardware/software architectures.
    • In-depth knowledge of Telecommunication network, equipment and systems.
    • Basic knowledge of power line carrier and teleprotection operations.
    • Working knowledge of power network environment, including both primary and secondary plants.
    • Working knowledge of configuring Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and signal list testing.

    • Support the team with Interfacing with provincial authorities and national agencies regarding civil-related matters.

    Contract Administration

    • Ensure that all project contract requirements are implemented.
    • Produce procedures for contract requirements implementation as required.
    • Ensure Company policies associated with construction and contracts are followed.
    • Initiate contractual claims as necessary.
    • Prepare contract variations.
    • Lead the civil works payment and variation certification process and be directly involved in any contractual disputes should they arise.
    • Monitor and review financial data related to contract performance, forecasts, labour and variation costs, expected Gross Margin and profits and report any discrepancies as they arise.
    • Assist with reporting and processing monthly cost recording and processing.
    • Ensure all Project Civil Reports are provided in accordance with the project and company requirements.
    • Produce and/or assist in estimating with guidance on costings and commercial matters, including the provision/review of commercial schedules for tender submissions on other projects of the various quality and operation documents.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • BSc Eng or B.Eng in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • At least 7 years’ experience in a large-scale construction project environment.

    • Manage handover of Electrical assets to Seriti Green Asset Management team, providing necessary quality and operation and maintenance documentation.
    • Ensuring the availability of plant condition monitoring and reporting systems.
    • Recording of plant condition and plan performance and the trending thereof.
    • Providing breakdown intervention to ensure return to service of failed plant.
    • Investigating root causes of failures, identifying issues, investigating preventative measures and applying corrective action.
    • Evaluating risks to plant, based on plant reliability and making recommendations on strategic spared holding.
    • Compile and submit monthly plant performance and generation reports.

    Contract Management:

    • Ensure all project contract requirements are implemented.
    • Produce procedures for contract requirements implementation as required.
    • Follow company policies associated with contracts.
    • Initiate contractual claims as required.
    • Prepare contract variations.
    • Lead the eBoP payment and variation certification process and manage contractual disputes if they arise.
    • Monitor and review financial data related to contract performance, forecasts, labor and variation costs, expected Gross Margin, and profits. Report discrepancies as they arise.
    • Assist with reporting and processing monthly cost recording and processing.
    • Monitor, review, and ensure all Business Units deliver required reports.
    • Provide Project Reports according to project and company requirements.
    • Assist with estimating and provide guidance on costings and commercial matters, including commercial schedules for tender submissions on other projects.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • BSc or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • At least 7 years’ experience in a large-scale construction project environment.
    • Good knowledge of the South African Grid Code including the Renewables Grid Code will be an advantage.
    • Experience working for an EPC contractor or consultant in the renewable industry.
    • Exposure in the Wind/Solar/BESS farms Electrical design and on substation and overhead line design and construction methods will be an advantage will be an advantage.
    • Demonstrated experience in the technical operations of renewable power generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.
    • Sound technical and commercial understanding of the Electrical and/or the Construction Industry.
    • Good understanding of the appropriate South African and International Standards and Regulations.
    • Desirable to have wind farm project delivery experience.
    • Demonstrated high level of commercial acumen, with a proven ability to navigate complex deal structures.
    • Demonstrated capacity to work for a multitude of internal and external clients with conflicting interests and priorities. Demonstrated capacity to influence outcomes.
    • Demonstrated capacity to develop and manage relationships to ensure outcomes are achieved as harmoniously as possible.

    Seriti Green: Mechanical/Reliability Engineer

    Key responsibilities include

    Design and Development:

    • Support in the development and review of project employer requirements and standards.
    • Designs, develops, and supervises the manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of equipment, machines and systems for the renewable generation facility.
    • Ensure mechanical design of projects is reviewed according to the internal quality systems and industry best practice.
    • Keep up to date with state-of-the-art technological developments in the renewable energy sector and update internal systems to align with latest best practice in the industry.
    • Monitoring and providing direction on mechanical technology towards enhancing mechanical efficiency and project design optimization.

    Project Planning:

    • Assess mechanical requirements, calculate resource requirements, and create schedules for design, production, and installation to contribute to project planning.
    • Collaborate directly with suppliers and manufacturers to examine designs, procure materials, and ensure quality requirements are met.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams that include electrical engineers, environmental experts, and project managers to ensure that mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated into wind energy projects.
    • Writing reports and reviewing outputs of appointed Consulting and Contractor engineers and technologists.
    • Controlling costs on Projects and ensuring milestones are-met.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure that all mechanical designs and activities adhere to industry norms, Grid Codes, regulatory and safety requirements.
    • Knowledge of relevant processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and legislation.
    • Advising senior staff of safety related risks of critical plant equipment and operation regimes.
    • Monitor mechanical issues within Seriti Green owned and operated assets and initiates projects to implement rectify and improve the mechanical issues.
    • Advise senior staff with regards to long-term plant health care of operating plant mechanical equipment.

    Operations and Maintenance

    • Develop, review and implement facility and equipment performance models.
    • Support in the development and implementation of warehouse and workshop systems for inventory management.
    • Continuous management and improvement of spares, materials and consumables to ensure operations and maintenance to drive down costs while improving quality.

    Education & Experience

    • Mechanical Bachelor’s (BSc) Degree, BTech Mechanical Engineering or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
    • Eng professional registration and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is advantageous.
    • WindPRO, WASP, and PVsyst software experience is advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large infrastructure and construction environment as Mechanical Engineer.
    • Excellent knowledge and experience into the behaviour of mechanical plant.
    • Experience and knowledge of life of plant assessment and engineering techniques of Wind Turbine plant.
    • Financial skills and understanding of systems.

    Seriti Green: Contracts Manager

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    Contract Administration

    • Ensure that all project contract requirements are implemented including the procurement and administration of contract securities and insurance requirements.
    • Produce procedures for contract requirements implementation as required.
    • Ensure Company policies associated with contracts are followed.
    • Assist in the preparation of progress claims for projects and general sales invoicing for projects to ensure timely submission of invoicing, and minimise WIP balances
    • Assist in the administration of all contracts. Aid Project Managers in relation to notifications, letters, reports, etc.
    • Develop and maintain the contracts filing system.
    • Produce and manage contractual claims as required.
    • Prepare and control sub-contracts and associated documentation.
    • Participate in contract reviews and negotiations as required.

    Prepare contract variations.

    • In conjunction with the Project Managers, be involved in the payment and variation certification process of major subcontractor works, and be directly involved in any contractual disputes should they arise
    • Ensure that effective contractual document control processes are adhered to within the business.
    • Monitor and review financial data related to contract performance, forecasts, labour and variation costs, expected Gross Margin and profits and report any discrepancies as they arise
    • Assist with monthly cost recording and processing
    • Ensure all contracts are managed, reviewed and administered in accordance with the company’s legal and commercial policies and procedures.
    • Where necessary, monitor the financial performance of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure code compliance in accordance with relevant regulations and Company requirements.
    • Monitor, review and where directed ensure all Business Units deliver appropriate reports as directed.
    • Ensure all Project Reports are provided in accordance with the company requirements, and.

    Procurement

    • Provide input into the overall procurement strategy, including contract development and review, scheduling, packaging of work and tender processes.
    • Ensuring contract award approval processes are adhered to.

    Site Management

    • The contracts manager needs to be fully aware of all ongoing site activities and provide assessments of those activities on the overall project. This will require:
    • Regular visits to site to verify subcontractor performance etc required to verify contract adherence
    • Close liaison with site team to ensure any issues are being managed in accordance with the various contract requirements
