    Quality Improvement Team Leader (Limpopo)

    Description

    Requirements

    Required Minimum Qualifications and  Experience  

    • A Diploma in General and Community Nursing
    • Strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and tools
    • Proof of current registration with SANC   
    • 3 years’ experience in a community health setting/NGO
    • Mentoring and training experience
    • Proficiency in computers - Microsoft Office and PowerPoint

    Desirable Qualifications and  Experience                                              

    • A relevant postgraduate qualification in HIV and AIDS
    • Training in Continuous Quality Improvement
    • Proficiency in data analysis and use of statistical software

    KEY PERFOMANCE AREA (KPAs)KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) 

    Quality Improvement

    • Mentor facility management teams.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to build capacity in QI principles, tools, and techniques.
    • Assist facilities in developing quality improvement plans.
    • Assist healthcare facilities in identifying and documenting areas for improvement and developing QI plans.
    • Promote the use of data-driven decision-making and the application of quality improvement methodologies and tools.
    • Advocate for the adoption of quality improvement practices and policies within all the supported facilities.
    • Guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation of QI initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Right to Care’s objectives and health system priorities.

    Project Management

    • Support the development and sustainability of QI teams and committees within healthcare facilities.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement among facility staff.
    • Ensure all supported facilities align with IHFRM standards in all points of service at supported facilities.

    Reporting

    • Collect, analyse, and report on QI data to measure the impact and outcomes of improvement efforts.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations for ongoing QI activities based on data analysis.
    • Compile and submit assessment/support visit reports to the Quality Improvement Manager in time within the set timelines.
    • Escalate any challenges to the Manager on time. 
    • Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and conferences to share best practices and learnings.

    Administration

    • Share a schedule of CQI visits with the manager.
    • Maintain accurate records of mentorship activities, training sessions, and QI projects.
    • Contribute to the development of funding proposals and grant reports.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Lead.

    Technical Assistance:

    • Assist healthcare facilities in identifying improvement areas, setting measurable goals, and developing action plans.
    • Guide the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to monitor the progress of QI initiatives.
    • Facilitate the use of data to drive decision-making and to refine QI interventions.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare facility staff, government officials, donors, and other partners.
    • Ensure all quality improvement team members do tasks as always expected.

    Demand Creation Officer (Chris Hani)

    Description

    • Right to Care requires the services of a suitable qualified, well-motivated and results-driven candidate to be appointed in the above-mentioned vacant positions based in Eastern Cape, Chris Hani District.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Introduce the VMMC programme to communities and conduct profiling by means of various sources.
    • Based on the results obtained from community profiling, allocate Social Mobilisers to various supported areas by means of GIS Mapping in order to ensure proper coverage of target/pivot populations.
    • Coordinate and supervise demand creation activities performed by Social Mobilisers within various Right to Care-supported areas.
    • Schedule demand creation activities (i.e. information sessions, talks, events, etc.). aimed at promoting VMMC in designated areas (i.e. door-to-door visits, events at taxi ranks, youth clubs, malls, etc.).
    • Create appropriate demand creation training plans based on training needs analyses.
    • Engage with clinical roving teams to create accurate and proper service delivery schedules.
    • Draft and submit weekly reports that outline activities completed and the number of leads.
    • Schedule and maintain a monthly calendar of VMMC outreach activities.
    • Submit weekly and monthly reports of the social mobilisers’ performance to the Demand Creation Coordinator.
    • Actively engage with community leaders and structures in communities surrounding VMMC facilities to promote VMMC services and to identify demand creation opportunities.
    • Actively seek out opportunities for Social Mobilisers to participate in events and collaborate with organisations, government and/or schools for VMMC service delivery.
    • Collaborate with local stakeholders (Community Based Organisations and other partners) to ensure proper coordination of social mobilisation campaigns..
    • Mentor Social Mobilisers by addressing their challenges and barriers that prohibit them from reaching their targets
    • Conduct weekly performance reviews of targets reached by Social Mobilisers.

    Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a certificate in Marketing and Communications
    • A valid South African driver’s license endorsed with a  PrDP(Professional Driving Permit) is compulsory
    • Two years experience in organising and overseeing health promotion events, activities and projects at a community level cultural specific context
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and local vernaculars
