    Position Summary

    Operating a Battery single pallet mover or pallet jack                                                     

    A day in a life of a Order Picker:  

    Operating a Battery single pallet mover or pallet jack         

    Drives a Double pallet Mover with due regards to safety driving regulations.

    • Completes mechanical check sheet on a daily basis.                                           
    • To report any defect in the machine immediately to his superior and to be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the equipment.                                               
    • To be responsible for the cleanliness of the machine.                                         
    • To report any damage or injury howsoever incurred, to either personnel, machinery, premises or goods.                                             
    • To drive with due care and attention at all times.           
    • To ensure that the machine is parked in its allocated area when not in use                          

    Order Picking and Assembly       

    To correctly assemble orders according to planned priority sequence ensuring goods are distributed accordingly.                                           

    • To ensure that stock allocated for orders are not expired. (3months / six months also export twelve months)                                    
    • To ensure that stock allocated for orders are not damaged and in poor condition.                                     
    • To Pick orders according to warehouse productivity standards.               
    • To ensure that the correct batch is picked for traceabilty purspose                       

    Housekeeping                 

    To be responsible for the general cleanliness and tidiness of the working area in the warehouse.

    • To repack all returns on a daily basis.                                        
    • To assist in all other functions in the warehouse when necessary.                                                
    • To carry out any tasks as may be specified by his immediate superior.
    • To notify immediate superior of anything out of place                                        

    What will make you successful? 

    • Matric
    • Power pallet license
    • Experience: 1-2 years preferably in a warehouse

    Stock Rotation Clerk

    Main Purpose

    To perform the role of a Stock Rotation Clerk within SAP, by managing and controlling all stock movements for outbound deliveries and internal transfers in SAP while always ensuring accuracy. Ensure best practice with regards to picking compliance and stock FIFO rotation in SAP. Manage daily inventory counts and investigation of stock queries.

    A day in the life of a Stock Rotation Clerk:

    Stock Control

    • Administration of System Operations
    • Ensure that all blocked stock is released by the respective factories in line with the factory release program or escalated to quality control coordinator (S, X & Q - blocks)
    • Group shipments for outbound order creation - allocate bay/cage for picking
    • Generate Transfer orders (TO's) for picking and assign to pickers and reach truck operators (LRF1)
    • Monitor shipments from start to finish and picking progress - continues update of proxy
    • Generate check sheet for security checkers and transport checkers for all outbound loads
    • Post Goods Issued of shipments when loading done
    • Create Inventory counts for Cycle Counting to meet KPI target
    • Ensure all counts are cleared daily and complete LX17 & validation when needed
    • Ensure Warehouse is counted 100% weekly/Monthly
    • Investigate missing stock and inventory variances, complete IR report
    • Plant to Plant push dispatch of short stock as requested from receiving
    • Coordinate quarterly "wall to wall stock count
    • Drive NCE behavior in workplace
    • Daily movement of Near expire/salvage stock to GRA
    • Daily monitoring of "S" block stock
    • Daily monitoring of blocked bins
    • Daily health checks to be done (LL01, Open To's, Old open OBD's, 916, 922, 224)
    • Ensure pick face housekeeping is maintained by removing all damaged stock daily
    • Carries out specific tasks assigned by Team leader whenever necessary.
    • Set up pick face bins for all new materials
    • Ensure Bi-Annual pick face alignment
    • Run all necessary stock reports, i.e.  FEFO, Ageing report etc.

    • Matric certificate or equivalent 
    • PMI business numeracy and Business Communication to NQF level 4

    Reach Truck Driver

    Main Purpose

    Drive Reach truck Machine and to be responsible to Put away/Picking/Receiving/Replenishment and moving of bulk pallet, functions for all Nestle (and non-Nestle) finished goods product at the appropriate locations using a scanner.

    Ensuring that each process for option taken is completed in SAP & ensuring that all bulk stacking is safely & securely staged as well as adhering to all other safety policies and procedure.

    A day in the life of a Reach Truck Driver:

    Reach truck competency

    • Drives a Reach truck with due regard to safety driving regulations, with a valid license
    • Completes MHE check sheet daily and report faults immediately
    • Ensure reach truck operations productivity targets are met daily
    • Record MHE downtime and operational downtime
    • Stack palletized stock in an orderly manner according to the line numbers, batch codes, location, ensuring height restrictions are observed and adhered to
    • Put away of bulk pallets, ensuring correct process is followed
    • Picking of bulk pallet loads and staging in outbound area
    • Replenishment of bulk pallets for the pick face area and place in correct Bins
    • Quarterly wall to wall count
    • Carries out specific tasks assigned by Team leader whenever necessary.
    • Ensure correct picking of stock by reading information on the RF screen displaying vs. physical stock:

    General

    • Drive NCE behavior in workplace
    • Perform Cycle count of stock when required (e.g. Stock take and adhoc inventory counts)
    • Assist Warehouse with pallet count as and when required
    • Adhere to Safety regulations and good housekeeping
    • Ensure that all pallets received are in a good condition
    • Ensure broken pallets in the Warehouse are a safety hazard and must not be stacked
    • Ensure that damaged stock is not stacked away in the Warehouse. All damages identified to be reported
    • Ensure housekeeping of MHE equipment is kept in a clean and operational condition

    Reach Truck Maintenance

    • Ensure Maintenance checklist is completed daily e.g. (re-water, hydraulic oil, etc.) to ensure vehicle is operationally fit
    • Monitor service interval of assigned MHE
    • Report any MHE faults to Warehouse administrator and Team leader
    • Ensures that the correct battery charging and changing procedure is adhered to, reporting faults immediately

    E-Business Specialist/Data Scientist

    The key role of the Data and Analytics Manager is to effectively manage and develop data and analytics capabilities within Nestle ESAR region centred on providing insights and aiding in business decision making.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic function: 

    • Drive and manage the Data and Analytics strategy to provide the ESAR market.
    • Develop targeted and contextual consumer-centric data products.
    • Drive insights from consolidated consumer data and store data to support CCSD, sales and marketing decisions with respect to category planning, accurate customer demand-specific forecasting through multiple sales channels and enhancing decision-making specific to product mix and in-store space allocation.

    Product Management and Data Operations:

    • Drive the strategy, vision and governance for the Data and Analytics function.

    • Identify, set-up and deploy tools and technologies for data integration and interoperability. 
    • Analysis of internal and external data to build data-driven business insights and high impact data models to generate significant business value.

    Stakeloder Management:

    • Build and maintain strategic relationships/partnerships with the relevant stakeholders at the Global, Zone and regional levels. 

    • Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. 

    People Management: 

    • Lead a team of Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and Data scientists to design and build data solutions for data acquisition, pre-processing, exploration, model construction, evaluation, and deployment.

    Finance Management: 

    • Contribute to compiling of the Data and Analytics budget and support budgeting for other BUs. 

    Requirements: 

    • Degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Engineering/Data Science /Informatics or related (Must Have). 
    • Post graduate degree preferred. (Important). 
    • Certificate in Microsoft Azure Technology (Optional) 
    • Certificate in BI tools advantageous (Power BI/Tableau or related) (Optional) 

    Experience: 

    • A minimum of 5 -8 years’ work experience, in a technology related environment.
    • 5 years data analytics or business intelligence experience. 
    • Knowledge of data warehousing and analytics. 
    • Knowledge of BI tools, concepts, architecture, and decision support concepts. 
    • Knowledge of ETL and data analysis with a focus on data integrity. 
    • Extensive expertise in data modelling, both logical and physical. 
    • Strong project management and team management skills. 
    • Experience working with Data Lake or unstructured data. 
    • Experience working with Power BI platform. 
    • Experience working with SQL Server platform. 
    • Solid understanding of data security and privacy technologies. 
    • Experience in FMCG/ Supply Chain / Retail /Marketing/Sales & eCommerce/Banking advantageous.
