    Group Reporting and Financial Accountant

    Job Description

    • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Reporting and Financial Accountant at I&J, Cape Town. The individual will be responsible for the Group Reporting and Financial Accounting. 

    Line Manager:

    • Finance Manager Group Reporting and Tax

    Job Specification:

    • Monthly reporting and accounting:
    • Preparation of all consolidation monthly entries
    • Prepare the monthly Early estimation documents and income statements
    • Prepare the full month-end reporting pack with all relevant workings and support
    • Assist with answering queries on monthly results and reports
    • Preparation of Loadshedding schedules
    • Preparation of any additional monthly reports
    • Quarterly reporting and accounting:
    • Preparation of all consolidation quarterly entries

    Annual Financial Statements:

    • To address all review notes internally (from FM and FD), and from auditors & AVI
    • Preparation of related party schedules and support
    • Assist with all finalization documentation
    • Calculate PIS scores for each entity and report to company secretary
    • Conversions of AFS in Draftworx to XBRL format 

    Board packs:

    • Assist in preparation of work papers, support and presentation slides
    • Sagers submissions and support to assist with
    • STATS SA submissions and questionnaires to complete

    Direct and indirect taxes:

    • Assist Tax accountant in busy times with tax and deferred taxes (especially half year-end, year end, and provisional taxes with tight deadlines)
    • Back-up for full Tax accountant position when needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • SAIPA or SAICA articles with 3 – 5 years post article experience in a reporting / financial accountant role
    • Or 4 – 6 years overall experience in reporting and Accounting 

    Qualifications:

    • Bcom Accounting Degree at a University
    • CA (SA) would be advantageous

    Laboratory Technician - Fixed Term Contract

    Job Specification:

    • Incoming Material Control – raw materials

    Quality Management Systems Technician

    Job Specification:
