    Shaft Planner

    Job Description
    As a Shaft Planner you are required to have working experience in designing and scheduling mine plans.

    • Designing and scheduling feasible mine plans
    • Monitoring production, identifying shortcomings and implementing corrective measures
    • Accurately reporting on all activities including production numbers and data analysis
    • Scheduling new layouts and designing for project work (extensions, new block, new ideas) on Cads mine/ Mine 2-4 D
    • Monitoring risks associated with mine planning and putting controls in place to ensure production plans are adhered to

    Qualifications
    Minimum requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Mining qualifications that support the preparation of mine plans such as survey or mine overseer certificates/Survey qualification
    • Ms Office knowledge with advanced Ms Excel and Power Point
    • Seasoned knowledge and experience in mine scheduling software

    Experience: 

    •  Mining industry background with at least 6 years’ experience

    Artisan Learnership - Plater/ Welder

    Job Description
    We have a great opportunity for you to join our extraordinary team at Sishen Mine in a Three-year Artisan Learnership enrichment program

    • Our Three-year Artisan Learnership Program is an enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job/core training at Sishen Mine. This Program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your Artisan learnership program, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as an Artisan
    • Training Programs for Artisan Learner:
    • 1st year: Institutional training at Sivos, Technical Training Centre.
    • 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Sishen mine.
    • 3rd year: Complete trade test

    Qualifications
    You will need to have the following:

    • VARIOUS ARTISAN LEARNERSHIPS (18.2)
    •  MILLWRIGHT: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory and Fitting- and Machining Trade Theory as subjects
    • PLATER/WELDER: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating- and Structural Steel Drawings and Plater’s Theory.
    • FITTER: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting- and Machining Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings as subjects
    • DIESEL MECHANIC: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings as subjects.
    • ELECTRICIAN: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics as subjects.
    • FITTER & TURNER: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting- and Machining Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings as subjects.
    • TRANSPORTATION ELECTRICIAN: Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Auto Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics as subjects.
