    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Administration and Support Services
       

    • Provide administrative support
    • Provide financial, administrative and clerical services (including monitoring payments and expenditures)
    • Print and distribute monthly financial reports
    • Provide financial support and feedback to the service environment
    • Support financial Management reporting processes and querying of deviations


    Business Performance and Operations    

    • Prepare internal management reports to non-core environment
    • Execute cost management process for non-core environment
    • Execute budget and forecasting activities for non-core environment

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance    

    • Ensure integrity of all information and reporting
    • Ensure function adheres to Group governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline

    Customer and Client Relationship Management    

    • Manage internal relations with all relevant stakeholders

    Head Accountant, Financial Reporting X2

    Position Overview:

    • As the Head Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing, compiling, and consolidating financial reporting results across our diverse portfolio of companies and legal entities.

    Minimum Requirements    
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BCom (Hons) Accounting (Essential/Minimum)
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) (Recommended/Desirable)
    • Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 6-8 years Relevant Financial or Accounting experience with completed Articles; SAP exposure. Recommended experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Compliance, Income Tax, Companies Act and additional applicable frameworks. (Essential/Minimum) (Operational)

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

    Ability to:

    • Be responsible for analysing, compiling, and consolidating financial reporting results and to maintain all relevant general accounting policies and procedures. 
    • Prepare and review of annual financial statements for the Exxaro group, company, and other legal entities within the group. 
    • To formulate, maintain, implement, and review financial reporting policies and procedures. 
    • To provide technical accounting advise and guidance to the business units, other operations and departments (including Growth and Strategic Finance departments) and the insurance company of Exxaro), as and when required.
    • To adhere to financial reporting governance as set by group. 
    • Maintain and execute relevant general accounting policies and procedures.
