    Money Market Account Team Lead

    Job Objectives    

    • Supporting and participating in the design and development of the MMA tactical implementation plan for the MMA sales team in collaboration with other Financial Services leaders and stakeholders.
    • Managing, guiding, and supporting all human resources / people related activities including the end-to-end employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, daily management, KPI discussions, performance management etc.).
    • Within the context of the smaller team of MMA Sales Agents assigned to the team - operationally overseeing and embedding a strong customer centric and sales orientated culture by displaying a coach-like mindset.
    • Being a role model to the team in terms of what great performance looks like – interacting directly with customers / participating directly in activations etc. to support and develop the team’s capacity to deal with a variety of scenarios - including the optimisation of every opportunity to make a sale.
    • Maintaining and improving operations by participating in setting targets and effectively collaborating with other role players in the team to understand and execute effectively on the below operational impacting focus areas within the team context:
    • Effectively ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and updating all team documentation to ensure the team is aligned with the company and team’s values and policies etc.
    • Identifying and working with other cross-functional stakeholders to remove barriers and ensure operational readiness.
    • Resolving escalations at the source to prevent reoccurrence where possible.
    • Effective scheduling - design, deliver and maintain all processes and policies relating to workforce time and attendance and related logistics planning to ensure that the team is continually updated on their scheduling plan and specific activation requirements (time, uniform etc.)
    • Effective quality assurance remediations and ongoing communication with the team.
    • Co-creating effective methods for measuring quality and efficiency of the MMA Sales team.
    • Effective monitoring of system performance, workflows, and interactions – conveying any operational barriers to the MMA Sales Manager and/or Operations Manager to ensure speedy resolution.
    • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports – including sales, bank account activations and other key activities as requested from time to time.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications    
    Relevant degree or diploma in business, sales, communications or similar – (essential)

    Experience    

    • +2 years’ experience in a team leader capacity within a sales environment or equivalent with exposure to driving sales KPIs within a small, sales focussed team – (essential).
    • Experience with people management of a sales agent team (or similar) with a proven track record of successfully motivating the team to achieve goals and targets – (essential)

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 – (essential)
    • Ability to travel at short notice (holder of a valid South African drivers' license) – (essential)

    • Knowledge of SAP and a DC operation, Microsoft packages, Ortec Routing and Distribution (or related route optimization software), SAP Retail (or similar ERP Systems), Infor WMS 2000 Warehouse Management System (or similar WMS) and TMS (Transport management Systems) experience will be advantageous.

    Security Engineer Apprentice

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the Trainee Security Engineer is to support existing security measures/control and the creation of new or enhanced security measures, and ensure that all the organisation’s computer systems, networks and platforms are protected.

    This role will also coordinate security measures that effectively safeguard sensitive data in the event of a cyber-attack.
    In addition, this role will be assisting with the collection of threat intelligence and automating systems to consume threat feeds and track adversaries.
    The role will also participate in the development and execution of large-scale cyber security initiatives and requires an incumbent with problem solving abilities who can work in a fast-paced environment and has a clear passion for cybersecurity and related technologies.
    Within this context, our Cybersecurity team is looking to appoint a Trainee Security Engineer who has recently graduated with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or working towards an equivalent qualification and is eager to grow their career within cybersecurity.     Software Engineering Apprentice

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the Software Engineering Apprentice is to support the software development teams in building cutting-edge software and systems for the Shoprite Group by designing, implementing, and testing of software applications using the best breed of software development technologies.
    This role will work closely with the software development team to provide support in the development, deployment, and maintenance of assigned software solutions for the organization, as well as participate in code reviews and other software development processes, whilst being challenged and provided with tremendous growth opportunities in a customer-facing, fast-paced and agile environment. 
    Within this context, our Software Development team is looking to appoint a Software Engineering Apprentice who has recently graduated with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or in a final year of completing an equivalent qualification and is eager to grow their career software development.
    While providing support to the software development team, you will also be exposed to a range of software development practices and technologies. 

    Job Objectives    

    • Participate in cross-functional, agile software development teams to understand and support software development requirements and deliver high quality software. 
    • Work closely with Senior and Lead Software Developers/Engineers and team to support with coding/programming in building innovative technologies in a large, distributed computing environment. 
    • Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications, using appropriate coding techniques and methodologies.  
    • Demonstrate continuous effort to learn and improve within the team, and search for opportunities to innovate and optimize software solutions.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 certificate. 
    • Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, IT, related field or in final year of relevant qualification completion

    Experience    

    • Exposure with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases (i.e., SQL, MySQL) 
    • Proficiency with one or more high-level programming languages i.e., C#, Java, Python, Golang, Python, C, C++, PHP, etc.
    • Exposure to OOP and SOLID programming or design principles. 
    • Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, or Agile methodologies
    • Exposure to Linux toolset and Microsoft Operating systems and/or scripting i.e., Bash or PowerShell
    • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks i.e., Angular, react, Vue.js, etc.
    • Cloud environment i.e., AWS, Azure or GCP, etc.
