    Expeditor FTC

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    Strategic & Financial Results

    • Drive productivity and cost effectiveness with daily operations in load planning
    • Ensure operational execution of daily load plan in line with productivity performance requirements.

    Operational Results

    • Manages daily load planning and expediting activities for assigned Depots including reporting and data management (master data).
    • Track load plan execution with designated vehicle tracking system.
    • Update and distribute daily load plan exception reports and distribute to relevant Depot and Planning teams.
    • Compile month end reports based on planning specific metrics and monthly efficiencies by Depot
    • Provide monthly feedback on performance against operational and customer service objectives.
    • Back up load planner
    • Execute all deliveries within operational performance requirements, as per the daily load plan.
    • Identify and manage delays and missed deliveries with Owner Drivers
    • Manage all delayed and missed deliveries with relevant Depot Teams and communicate decisions to skip customers/change delivery sequence.
    • Limit delays and optimise customer TAT through regular engagement between customer receiving departments,
    • Expeditors and Depot Customer Service Teams
    • Daily load plan exception reports updated and distributed to relevant Depot and Planning teams. Customer & Relationship Results
    • Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders
    • Professional communication, behaviour and actions to achieve credibility, trust and respect with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conduct all mandatory stakeholder engagement and pro-actively initiate additional communication when required.  
    • Frequent communication throughout each delivery day to manage execution of the daily load plan with Owner
    • Drivers and Depots
    • Review of previous day's load plan execution with Depots
    • Monthly feedback on overall load plan performance and SLA adherence to Depots/Regions Innovation & Improvement Results
    • Continuously review systems and process to improve efficiency and cost savings
    • Develop new and improved ways that reduce effort, cost and time or improve understanding, alignment and execution
    • Participate in any process improvement projects that may be allocated from time to time.

    • Displaying the Heineken Beverages values
    • Conduct regular one on ones with Load Planners, 360 values score feedback, IDP and annual performance management reviews conducted.

    • Initiate informal coaching sessions with Load Planner around all Heineken Beverages behavioural and planning functional

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • A Diploma, preferably in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Management.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years experience.
    • Routing and Scheduling system, vehicle tracking and telematics experience advantageous.
    • Working Knowledge of SAP R3, SAP BW and Qlikview reporting suite experience advantageous.

    Project Engineer

    Key performance areas include, but are not limited to: 

    • Ensuring effective environmental, health, safety and risk management to local standards. 
    • Ensure that world class asset care and maintenance principles are introduced and adhered to (efficient  asset utilization) 
    • Compile, manage and control Capex budget and infrastructure maintenance. 
    • Effective control of all project funding requests (i.e. abnormal maintenance and capital) 
    • To manage performance and people development within department. 
    • Managing maintenance projects and feasibility studies. 
    • Assist with compiling short and long term equipment replacement plan 
    • Develop and Management of quality systems (ISO 9001/2000) in responsibility area. 
    • Ensure compliance to OHSACT and all Distell Risk, Health and Safety procedures, including statutory    requirements 
    • Ensure crew complies and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, work instruction and SOPs 
    • Develop and implement annual departmental business plans and assist in site’s business plan. 
    • Innovation and business improvements in support of operational goals. 
    • Problem solving and technical guidance of the operational/maintenance teams 
    • Manage multi-disciplinary projects from inception until final commissioning  
    • Conduct all the required risk assessments and HACCAP processes in compliance with Distell requirements 
    • Develop project schedules to ensure projects are closely managed 
    • Lead the process of projects FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and PAT (Performance Acceptance Test) 
    • Ensure that staff is trained and signed off on operation of new equipment 
    • Develop project close out to ensure snags are closed and project formally handed over to the site. 
    • Managing and maintaining site facilities and infrastructure. 

    Qualification: 

    • Relevant and recognised tertiary qualification BSc degree, B. Tech degree or National Higher Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering 
    • A Government Certificate of Competency will be advantageous 

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • At least 3-5 years relevant maintenance and project management experience, preferably in a beverage or fast moving consumables goods environment  (including budget control) 
    • Project management experience, preferably in a beverage or related production environment 
    • Computer literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, SAPR3/ PM, etc.) 
    • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours, when required 
    • People management, performance management and leadership skills 
    • Sound written and verbal communication skills at various levels of employees. 
    • A self-starter with high levels of energy and motivation 
    • The successful candidate must be innovative and drive best practices.

    Artisan

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
    • Ensure machines are maintained to best practice standards including safety (machine safe to use).
    • Ensure proper disposal of consumables and materials.
    • Ensure good food safe practices when performing maintenance.
    • Ensure that problem-solving is done to best practice standards in of support higher-level problem-solving efforts, as required.
    • Prompt reaction time to breakdowns and other requests.
    • Assist with shutdown planning as per shutdown best practice.
    • Ensure spares are in place for preventive maintenance activities.
    • Proactive risk/hazard identification and mitigation).
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to process teams - operating procedures, fault finding, etc.
    • Monitor and control quality practices in a manufacturing / cellar / engineering environment.
    • Innovation and business improvements in support of operational and segment goals.
    • Implemented initiatives of business plans.
    • Assisting with installation of new equipment, projects, and improvements.
    • Ensuring that administration is attended to timeously and as per best practice.
    • Comply with Heineken Beverages standard operating practices.
    • Excellent housekeeping.
    • Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance and repairs, to production machinery, utilities, and facilities, timeously and according to specification. (e.g., lighting, boilers, compressors, crossflows, heat exchangers, crushers, pumps, electrical motors, control panels, distribution boards, etc.)
    • Perform welding activities.

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following experience / skills:

    • Minimum 3 years working experience as an artisan in a cellar and utilities environment.
    • Reading and understanding of electrical drawings.
    • Good knowledge of electrical reticulation in a plant environment.
    • Good knowledge of equipment used in wine cellars and utilities is a distinct advantage (see examples above).
    • Ability to do in depth problem solving and fault finding (mechanical and electrical).
    • Competent and argon and arc welding.
    • Advantageous to be able to perform turning and milling activities.
    • Must be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work without supervision.
    • Able to work and make decisions under pressure.
    • Good communication skills on all levels.
    • Active involvement in mini-business activities.
    • Able to work within a team.
    • Willing and able to work overtime and flexible hours.
    • Perform standby duties.
    • Have own reliable transport available.

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification/s:

    • Minimum Engineering N3
    • Trade tested Millwright.
