    Pre-Primary Phase Teacher

    Job Description
    Due to the expansion of our school, we are looking for aPre-Primary Phase Teacher to join our Marist family from January 2025.

    Requirements for the position:

    •  Have a successful teaching record, the requisite academic and professional qualifications (B.Ed Degree), SACE registration and required clearance certificates.
    •  Be able to work in a collaborative environment as part of an extended Pre-School and Foundation Phase team;
    •  Be able to work with children in a nurturing way in order to develop them holistically;
    •  Be able to incorporate ICT in their teaching practice;
    •  Have a working knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and a sound understanding of a thematicbased approach to teaching;
    •  Be aware of relevant curriculum developments and best practice in Pre-School and Junior Primary School teaching;
    •  Ability to appreciate and be committed to the Marist ethos and mission of the College;

    Intermediate Phase Teacher (Grades 4 - 7)

    Job Description
    Due to the expansion of our school, we are looking for a full-time Intermediate Phase Teacher (Grades 4 - 7) to join our Marist family from January 2025.

    The ideal candidate should:

    •  Have a strong commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education within the Marist tradition.
    •  Be a person of integrity and enthusiasm, with strong teaching, administrative and interpersonal skills.
    •  Have a successful teaching record, the requisite academic and professional qualifications, SACE registration and required clearance certificates.
    •  Be able to work in a collaborative environment as part of the Intermediate Phase team.
    •  Possess strong ICT skills and be able to innovatively integrate these skills in the classroom. Prior knowledge of the Google educational ecosystem would be advantageous.
    •  Have a working knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and a sound understanding of integrated studies.
    •  Contribute to the Preparatory School, especially in the area of pastoral care, by being able to work with children in a nurturing way in order to develop them holistically.
    •  Be willing to coach within and/or support the extra-curricular programme of the school.

    Remedial Teacher (Grades 4 - 7)

    The ideal candidate should:

    •  Have an understanding of the development of Maths and English skills.
    •  Previous experience within a remedial school will be valued.
    •  Knowledge of various remediation approaches and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field.
    •  A creative and innovative mindset, always seeking new strategies to support learning and growth.
    •  Be SACE registered, have police clearance, sexual offenders register clearance and child protection register check.
    •  Have an appropriate professional qualification.
    •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English), with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and learners.
    •  Be a child-centred educationalist with strong interpersonal skills, able to work successfully with a team of professionals.
    •  Have the necessary computer experience for online teaching and be knowledgeable of Google Classroom.
