    Experience and qualifications 

    Must Have: 

    • Relevant degree 
    • Certification in the AWS Cloud Platform 
    • Experience as a cloud engineer (or equivalent) in a large organisation;
    • Familiarity with program languages including .Net, PHP, Python and Selenium (Jscript) 
    • Experience with: 
    • Openstack, Linux, Amazon Webservices, Docker and Kubernetes 
    • APIs, orchestration, automation, DevOps, and databases 
    • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a- Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) 
    • Proven technical troubleshooting and performance-tuning experience. 

    Should Have: 

    • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science 
    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer 
    • Certification in additional cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure 
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with cloud services and practices, including: 
    • Cloud infrastructure management tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform 
    • Hashicorp packer image building tool 
    • Automation/configuration management using puppet or chef

    Risk and Management Information specialist (AVP)

    Job Summary

    • The Global Markets Operations team seek to appoint a Risk and Management Information specialist (AVP) to work in the Post Trade Services Management Information team.

    The overall purpose of the role is:

    • Responsible for collating, coordinating, and compiling Risk and Management information for reporting into various forums. The process includes, but is not limited to, monthly Business Key Risk Indicator reporting and meeting, PTS payment, settlement, trade volume, cash, and position break reporting. This will include preparation, validation and distribution of various reports that are submitted into business risk forums. Data, risk and management information analysis and modelling is required. Understanding of performance, risk and key indicators is required, with a good understanding of risk reporting and trend analysis.
    • The candidate should have 3+ years Operations and Risk experience. Advanced Microsoft office (including PowerPoint), data analysis and modelling skills are essential. Global markets products (Fixed income, Foreign Exchange, Exchange Traded and Over the Counter derivatives), and process (affirmation, confirmation, payment and settlement, reconciliation) knowledge is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and logical personality type, time management skills and managing daily deadlines is required. Competencies should include excellent work ethic, precise attention to detail, ability to work independently with limited supervision, ability to communicate simply and effectively, work well within a team, continuously driving improvement and innovation, and perform well under pressure.

    Job Description

    • Data & Information gathering and research: Identify internal data and information sources and establish information channels and networks (formal and informal) for the purpose of obtaining pertinent data and information which can be meaningfully transformed into value adding customer intelligence. Obtain internal customer data and information - with an emphasis on the customer segmentation and related segment characteristics, dynamics and behaviour. | Analysis and Insights: Analyse and interpret the internal landscape in terms of Absa customer - inclusive of product usage, channel usage, frequency of interactions, geography, customer experience and performance – in order to provide various integrated views and insights of customer to inform strategies, interventions and planning. Develop an in-depth understanding of customer (within context of the Absa segmentation) needs and wants through external and internal research. | Inform Strategies, Plans, Interventions and Models: Provide the insights as inputs to strategies, models, plans and interventions in the agreed format/s – these formats must be professional, accurate and easily consumable. Obtain the relevant landscape and customer data and information for the agreed deliverables and perform integrative and comparative strategic analysis. | Workshops and facilitated sessions: Assist the senior leadership of the Analytics, Insights and Modelling teams with the preparation of workshops and sessions. Participate in workshops and sessions to the level of presenting and facilitating, under the guidance of a senior team member. | Personal growth: Identify areas of growth within personal Customer Insights skills, competency and knowledge areas. Identify relevant internal training and up-skilling opportunities and participate accordingly

    Summary:

    • Coordinating, compiling, validation and distribution of Risk and Management Information on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis.
    • Perform monthly and quarterly specialist risk type (payment and process management risk) reporting.
    • PTS payment, settlement and trade value and volume information consolidation, validation, and reporting.
    • PTS month end cash and position break reporting, including interpretation and validation of information reported.
    • Running and minuting monthly meetings.
    • Compiling and distribution of productivity tracker to senior management.
    • Prepare, validate, and distribute reporting on risk and control effectiveness and risk events (including trend analysis).
    • Monitoring performance against Key Risk Indicators.
    • Perform all other duties and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
