    Job Description:

    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Supports the site Technical function through a disciplined focus on business improvement and integrated planning, ensuring that health and safety is not compromised.
    • Provide people technical and operational support within the site by assisting all employees with the technical processing experience and site specific knowledge required to fully embed and realise the continuous improvement of processes, systems and equipment through the use of Feedback tools such as Analyse and Improve and Defect Analysis

    Job Description:

    • The Section Engineer is a 2.13.3.1 appointment in terms of the MHS Act and is responsible to provide operational service and support to the Resident Engineer.

    Shift Supervisor Minning

    Job Description:

    • As Shift Supervisor Mining you will focus on safe quality of work, achieving of production targets, housekeeping, supervising and coordinating support functions. Below are some of the key responsibilities critical to the role.

    Key responsibilities of this role are:

    • Ensure the maintenance of proper discipline of all persons under your charge.
    • Daily on-the-job coaching and on-site training sessions should be conducted and captured in the logbook.

    Mine Overseer Production

    Job Description:

    • Join us as a Mine Overseer Production where you will manage and plan for the development and provision of mining work practices and structures.
    • The Mine Overseer has the Legal accountability with a 2.14.1 and a 2.13.12 appointment in terms of the MHSA section 26 of 1996. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that a dedicated section of the operational process operates effectively from a current and future best practice perspective.

    Safety Officer Surface

    Job Description:

    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    Recommend:

    • Collect and analyse safety data
    • Evaluation of Business Partners Legal compliance

    Input:

    • Development of standards and COP’s
    • Short range Operational Unit planning

    Decide:

    • Stop work if unsafe

    Execute:

    • Facilitate accident investigations
    • Carry out Safety  inspections when required
    • Compile safety reports
    • Check compliance to safety systems
    • Check corrective action status
    • Perform Business partners legal compliance and Safety audits

    This role is at a D1 level reporting to the Unit manager SHE

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent
    • Technical Qualification
    • SACPCMP registration as Safety officer will be advantages
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act will be advantages

    Experience

    • 3 Years relevant Process/Engineering/Contractor management experience

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Presentation / Facilitation/ Training
    • Code B drivers license
    • SAMTRAC
    • ISO 45001
    • Computer literate (MS Office and Projects)
    • ITIS/Train the Trainer
    • Auditors courses for Safety and Risk Control management
    • Risk Assessment Techniques: (SWIFT, HAZOP and FMECA)
    • Accident investigation (ICAM/RCAT/SCAT)
    • Fire (Intermediate fire – FPA)
    • First Aid
