    Professional Nurse Mentor x1

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Lead and supervise Program Professional Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
    • Strategies for TB Mentoring requirements.
    • Facilitate training sessions related to TB & HIV.
    • Conduct facility evaluations and create Quality Improvement Plans.
    • Support technicalities of the Program, such as TB Mortality Audits and Clinical Audits.
    • Collaborate extensively with Program and DOH staff for TB diagnostics and TPT Program.
    • Champion the amalgamation of TB and HIV services.
    • Offer mentoring and technical guidance for TB Program at health facility levels.
    • Oversee weekly facility meetings.
    • Provide on-site support during patient visits.
    • Supervise FAST & LF- LAM test implementations.
    • Conduct training needs assessments.
    • Collaborate with health facility management teams.
    • Foster linkages between health facilities and community institutions.

    • Collaborate with team members and relevant departments to rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies identified during the verification process.
    • Ensure that all reports adhere to the organization's quality standards and meet the set guidelines and criteria.
    • Adhere to established timelines for report generation, review, and finalisation.
    • Coordinate with team members to mitigate any potential delays, ensuring that any challenges in report preparation are addressed swiftly.
    • Periodically review and suggest improvements to the report generation and verification process, aiming for increased efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in Nursing – registered with SANC.
    • Basic TB Management certificate.
    • NIMDR-TB & HIV Training Certificates will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of three years managing TB patients in DOH facilities.
    • Involvement in TB clinical, community care planning, and execution is desirable.
    • Experience in fostering collaboration, enhancing team synergy, and cultivating a conducive work environment for diverse teams.
    • Proven skills in health worker training, mentoring, and team building.
    • Prior experience or involvement with NGOs, preferably in a health-focused capacity.
    • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges within healthcare settings.

    Radiographer Locum x 2 (Onsite)

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of the Digital X-Ray unit.
    • Conduct X-rays, ensuring top-quality results, and manage uploads to AI systems (qBox) and the Orca cloud.
    • Maintain and regularly inspect X-ray equipment, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
    • Drive the quality assurance protocols as dictated by the equipment provider, including maintaining comprehensive records of all QA tasks.
    • Counsel patients about procedures and obtain their consent.
    • Communicate screening results to patients and arrange clinical assessments if required.
    • Ensure patients with unusual dCXR results are forwarded for deeper evaluation.
    • Abide by SAHPRA's stipulated regulations.
    • Adhere to radiation safety standards, practicing the ALARA principle to protect patients.
    • Monitor and maintain records of employee radiation exposure, and manage radiation medicals and monitoring badges.
    • Supervise Mobile Unit support staff, including the Driver and Enrolled Nurse.
    • Oversee staff attendance and leave, reporting to the District Coordinator/Manager.
    • Keep a detailed electronic registry of patients, noting names, exam details, and dates.
    • Ensure adequate stock levels of essential supplies like printing paper, PPE, and stationery.
    • Record checks on lead protection gear as directed by the supplier.
    • Prepare monthly reports detailing work metrics and submit to the Line Manager.
    • Uphold the IER file ensuring it remains current and comprehensive.
    • Understand and propagate organizational objectives, clarifying operational instructions, policies, and procedures to relevant stakeholders.
    • Foster a positive working environment through active participation and communication.
    • Strictly adhere to security regulations.
    • Promptly report safety and security incidents.
    • Participate in Radiation Safety Training and adhere to radiation safety regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Degree/National Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
    • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Radiographer (Post Community Serve).
    • Comprehensive knowledge and adherence to radiation safety practices and guidelines.
    • Proficiency in using digital radiographic systems and software, including AI and cloud-based platforms.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

    District Coordinator X1


    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Supervise and lead the Professional Nurse Mentors, Professional Nurses; NIMDR Nurses, and program staff based at DOH facilities.
    • Support technical aspects of the Program, including TB Mortality Audits; Cohort Reviews and Clinical Audits.
    • Work in close collaboration with THINK and DOH staff to support finding people with undiagnosed TB through activities including TB screening, FAST, TUTT and LF-LAM implementation.
    • Work in close collaboration with the THINK and DOH staff to implement an effective TPT Program.
    • Support the Decentralisation of DR-TB treatment to all sub-districts.
    • Oversee the implementation of the DR-TB and DS-TB linkages to care, adherence support and household contact tracing across the districts.
    • Support other project management activities as the needs of the project evolve.
    • Work with District Management in the writing of reports.
    • Establish and implement reporting systems for program staff and follow up on reports.
    • Review of facility-level reports from the DQM with the M&E manager/ coordinator.
    • Co-ordinate and lead regular staff meetings with program staff.
    • Work closely with M&E Coordinator to ensure output targets are reached and address issues.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders including the District DoH TB Management teams, facility management and community structures in the implementation and feedback of THINK project.
    • Coordinate and participate in community engagement events.
    • Conduct training for THINK and DOH staff as required.
    • Participate or represent the project in conferences. 
    • Support, train and mentor programme staff based at supported DOH facilities.
    • Provide direct supervision to all subordinates.

    • Primary Health Care (PHC) experience.
    • Demonstrable experience in donor funded health projects.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in health project management software tools and reporting systems.
    • Ability to understand and navigate the health regulatory environment of the district.
    • Experience working with diverse communities and understanding their unique health needs.
    • Familiarity with TB, HIV/AIDS, or other major health programs in the district.
    • Skills in data analysis and interpretation using health analytics tools.
