    Business Intelligence and Demand Planning Integrator

    Role purpose

    • Responsible to lead the Strategic Planning and Budget across all functions and clusters ensuring that the Africa missions are being fully reflected in the business strategies within country groups.
    • Lead business intelligence and customer insight Africa leading to insight to support strategic/operational decision making and planning with short-, mid- and long-term outlook.
    • Coordinate the mid- and long-term ambition setting with the Value Preposition Squad and Customer Teams (LSDP & 5 Years Plan)

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Support the commercial and Go to market teams in strategy and long-range planning through accurate customer and channel data and customer insights.
    • Accountable for coordinating demand planning for short, mid and long terms cycles.
    • Coordinate and manage the 5 year plan using it as the base for long term strategic goal setting and demand planning. Coordinate update meetings and sign off across cluster getting input from all relevant stakeholders.
    • Align country group strategic goal setting to long term strategic trends identified and reflect in strategic planning as well as demand planning connected to the Africa missions
    • Act as the single source of truth towards customer facing and supporting structure in terms of historical and future data 
    • Shape alternatives for accurate market size setting for Sub Saharian and South Africa
    • Define clear KPI´s for Unit Supporting Squad and Customer Teams to ensure clear 90 days health checks of our achievements (Scorecard setting)
    • Create the entire framework of strategic planning to set up the strategic agenda for all country groups (3 years Plan, 5 years Plan) reflecting our 5 Africa missions
    • Operationalize metrics and performance dashboards to design and implement plans along with sales to maximize productivity and profit per sales rep/sales channel through either increase in sales or reduction in cost of sales. Collaborate with Sales and // Commercial Leadership to ensure that Sales Effectiveness metrics are properly addressed into cluster and country goals and KPIs.

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualifications in Agronomy, Marketing, Business or related fields.
    • Minimum 3 years sales, marketing and/or agronomic experience.
    • Experience in CRM, data management and analytics is preferred.                                                             
    • Agricultural background, experience in the seed, crop protection and/or biotechnology industry is preferred.  
    • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel / Power Point / Word) a prerequisite. Specific experience with MS Excel necessary.                   
    • Highly motivated, creative, dynamic and well organized.
    • Good business and strategic acumen required.                            
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in English, oral and written, is required.
    • Customer centric and market oriented.
    • Experience with project planning and execution
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with associated deadlines for deliverable results.

    Squad Coordinator Seeds - Northern Cape

    Role purpose
    Function the coordinator of all Seeds related selling activities in the CFS Unit for a geography.     
    Coordinate the Seeds, and digital strategy and insure implementation into the farmer level.
    Support collaboration and track squad / hybrid performance and implement strategies to improve sales.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Manage the strategy with Co-Ops and buying groups in the region
    • Define and implement key account strategy for buying groups and Co-Ops.          
    • Manage the strategy with farmers via the RADL Segmentation                           
    • Develop clear territory plan to drive growth and to defend market share
    • Determine seeds sales budgets and forecasting within the squad and liaise with forecasting and 5 year plan team in the supporting squad
    • Complete monthly forecast compilation and alignment with forecast review teams monitoring forecast accuracy and deviation from budget.
    • Liaise closely with Supporting squad structures to ensure alignment with strategies.
    • Track sales figures on seeds while monitoring sell in and/or sell out and channel inventories.
    • Ensure squad is actively planning and keeping account information up to date on Salesforce
    • Ensure squad members are using RADL classification to plan account visits
    • Ensure squad members are applying segmentation analysis on Salesforce
    • Encourage and monitor team members learning on Bayer Academy
    • Track team performance on financial metrics, sell in, sell out and Climate Fieldview accounts   
    • Safe keep our seeds sales policies, market funding and pricing with key farmers                            

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Marketing/Business Administration
    • Business and customer centric minded
    • Ability to drive change in complex and stable organization while not being disruptive to the business.
    • Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships

    Crop Protection Sales Rep (Northern Cape)

    Role Purpose                                                                       

    • Maximize the value of our business and ensure realization of our commercial strategy in line with relevant KPI’s in cooperation with our CP channel partners and farmers.
    • Drive business growth for our CP products and create demand for our Digital Farming offering.

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    • To actively shape the area strategy from a sales and customer point of view with the territory sales manager and other relevant functions.
    • To define and implement a differentiating area sales strategy fully consistent with country / marketing / customer strategy.
    • To optimize use of commercial policies (Market funding) and channel partner/ agent programs.
    • To build relationships and shape his or her channel partners, exceeding the relevant benchmarks in customer satisfaction. To develop capabilities of his or her channel partners according to requirements of future Go to Market strategy, benchmarks, customer satisfaction expectations.
    • To develop and implement an ambitious and consistent sales plan in line with country objectives as well as legal and compliance rules and obligations.
    • To ensure delivery of forecasted results according to sales plan utilizing superior operative sales planning,
    • forecasting, and monitoring (incl. price and product flow) mechanisms and KPIs and taking timely and matching corrective actions in case of deviations from plan.
    • To closely follow up, actively share with corresponding functions, esp. marketing, and dynamically respond to opportunities, issues, market changes incl. competitor moves, adjusting tactics as required.
    • Ensure implementation of corporate guidelines and compliance policies

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    Production Research Data Analyst - Lichtenburg

    Role purpose

    • The Production Research Data Analyst role is responsible for supporting the success of delivering the pipeline and data insights. This role will support activities related to data governance, analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholders across Africa. Furthermore, responsibilities include adherence to Bayer safety, quality, and operational procedures.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Building and validating dashboards using preferred visualization software.
    • Compiling documentation of analytical processes and results, adhering to agreed documentation standards.

    • Extract actionable insights from raw data.
    • Performing quality control on collected Production Research data.

    HSE Responsibilities:

    • Leading HSE efforts according to ISO 45001 and Bayer safety standards focusing on legal compliance

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • 2-years’ experience in a relevant Agricultural discipline (agricultural research, plant physiology, plant breeding or related field).
    • Strong programming skills in R, Python, SQL.
    • Strong aptitude for statistics.
    • Experience with visualization software such as Tableau and TIBCO Spotfire.
    • Proficiency in Machine Learning and Statistics algorithms and concepts (Mixed Models, Random Forest, Deep Learning, SVM, SAS JMP etc.).
    • Experience with data mining and statistical techniques (Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Decision Trees, etc.).
    • Problem solving ability and experience in analyzing and presenting complex data.

    Contract and Compliance Coordinator

    Role purpose
    Support to LPC through active administration of Code Compliance, related training monitoring, contract management (CLMS), coordination and collation of data privacy consents, company secretarial support and concomitant timeous convening of meetings, administration of board resolutions and general support to the LPC professionals

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    •  Contract Management of events on Bayer Activity System (BAS), CICAT and VEEVA
    •  Responsible party for Non-Crystal Country Transfer of Value (TOV) process-training and reporting duties
    •  CLMS training and Contract Centre support, updating of global database, and maintenance of physical local and regional legal protocol
    •  Providing company secretarial support in conjunction with external service providers in the region
    •  Preparation of board resolutions, arrangement of signature processes, updating of Minute Book
    •  Maintenance and record keeping of data privacy documentation, implementation of new/ updated SOPs and informed consents in a suitable data base under control of LPC and IT
    •  Assist with annual Anti-Corruption and Antitrust Monitoring. Provide support to colleagues with questionnaire responses
    •  Arrange and co-ordination of all Compliance training, and development of annual training plans in coordination with LPC 
    •  Arrange and co-ordination of Marketing Code Authority training and employee certification across PH and CH divisions
    •  Support to LPC in organisation of business trips, local, regional and global meetings and trainings

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    •  Knowledge and principled understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and local laws as applicable within the focus areas outlined above

    •  Effective written and verbal English communication skills, interpersonal, decision-making and issue resolution skills are required
    •  In addition, the incumbent requires effective planning and organisational skills, comprehensive computer skills (word, excel and PowerPoint), attention to detail and excellent follow through.
    •  The incumbent is responsible for the management of complex processes and databases, and feedback on items which are subject to scrutiny and audit.
