    Peer Educator - Johannesburg

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Peer Mobilization

    • Recruit at least 80 clients each month to introduce the programme and the available services
    • Do risk assessment to those 80 clients reached each month
    • Refer those 80 clients to Nurses, HTS, Linkage Officers, Advocacy officer, and the Social Auxiliary Worker

    Field Support

    • Provide harm reduction information and package to at least 80 clients monthly
    • Manage your cohort and ensure they are provided with services and report to the coordinator to update your register

    Mapping

    • Identify at least two new sites monthly
    • All the sites must be added to your mapping tool

    Debriefing and Counselling Sessions

    • Ensure that you attend social debriefing and give monthly feedback to the coordinator
    • Ensure that you attend psychosocial counselling and give monthly feedback to the coordinator
    • Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Grade 12
    • Must have numeracy and literacy skills
    • An ability to establish trust and communicate effectively with active drug users
    • Ability to follow strict confidentiality requirements
    • An ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Punctual and reliable
    • Prior knowledge of HIV/AIDS and a recognized HIV counselling certificate would be an advantage.

    Pharmacist Assistant

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the implementation of Multi month dispensing for Differentiated Models of Care (DMOC)
    • Assist with updating data collection and completion using pharmacy systems.
    • Provide mentorship and support to ensure that adequate levels of stock are always available
    • Identify areas of improvement or correction with script writing and liaise with the pharmacist and doctor to ensure corrections are made in future.
    • Ensure compliance with good pharmacy practice
    • Guide facilities on storage and disposal of expired stock.
    • Generate and analyse stock reports regarding stock levels and medicine availability
    • Ensure uninterrupted and adequate supply of medication for clients accessing treatment through Differentiated Models of Care
    • Support the retention of accurate and updated records on pharmacy activity & decanting
    • Perform duties of Pharmacist Assistant such as dispensing, drug supply management etc. in line with Scope of Practice
    • Represent Anova in stakeholder meetings and workshops when requested 

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Registered as a post basic Pharmacist Assistant with SAPC
    • At least 1 year experience on HIV/AIDS treatment regimen and adherence issues
    • Understanding of ART, TB and general medication
    • Good knowledge of antiretroviral therapy, TB and chronic medication
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
    • Be able to work under pressure & independently
    • Proficiency in Ms Office

    Driver - Cape Town

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Transport Anova staff to their workstations including meetings and trainings
    • Collect mail from the post office and various other pick-up points
    • Ensure that drivers keep records of kilometres travelled and manage site visits using the logbook
    • Report vehicle accident or damage immediately
    • Ensure that the vehicles are kept clean by the drivers
    • Assist in collection and deliveries of goods and materials
    • Assist to collect mail from post office

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Code 10 Drivers licence
    • Matric or equivalent work experience
    • PDP – Professional Driver’s Permit
    • At least 2 years driving experience
    • Communication skills and local language ability
    • Ability to maintain a professional image
    • Ability to meet deadlines and manage own time
    • Recognise and support business values
    • Willing to co-operate with other Anova staff members.
    • Positive attitude
    • An ability to function well as part of a team

    Professional Nurse

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with the outreach teams to get referrals and to initiate ART for eligible HIV infected clients including PrEP.
    • Provide follow up care for patients on treatment in line with DoH HIV Management guidelines as well as Anova work plan and Facility 90-90-90 plans.
    • Routinely monitor performance & registers of (TB/HIV/STI) programmes at facility level and provide mentorship & technical support where required.
    • Identify poor performing indicators, put together quality improvement (QI) plans and implement as agreed upon with the team.
    • Identify training needs at facility level and arrange in-service training where needed.
    • Train clinic staff on MSM Diversity trainer and biomedical training and mentor staff at facilities.
    • Use relevant M&E tools to report weekly to Anova sub-district team on number of clients initiated on ART.
    • Support facilities with implementation of I-ACT support groups and Chronic treatment clubs in line with Anova’s work plan.

    Minimum Qalifications and Experience:

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently
    • At least 4 years’ experience in working at a clinic (PHC or CHC) facility

    Skills, Competencies, and Attributes:

    • Computer Literate in MS Office (intermediate)
    • Good report writing skills 
    • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Strong organizational skills, including time management and multi-tasking skills

    Driver - Johannesburg

    Key Performance areas

    • Transport staff to and from the clinics and office.
    • Transport staff to and from the office to events held on weekends and Public Holidays.
    • Assist with the setting up and packing away of equipment used at events.
    • Collect and delivery equipment, documentation etc. when required.
    • Maintain accurate records of demographics of clients who use the transport service.
    • Keep records of kilometres travelled, and manage site visits – logbook.
    • Report vehicle accident or damage immediately.
    • Fuel the vehicle and make sure it is always clean.
    • Ensure that vehicle is regularly serviced and well maintained (i.e. tyres, brake pads, etc.) and that it meets general safety requirements.
    • Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
    • Compliance with traffic regulations. Defensive driving practised.
    • Adherence to Anova policies and procedures.
    • Minimal/No complaints regarding operation of vehicles.
    • Provide other services as requested by management when not engaged with transporting people or items.
    • Assist with photocopying and distribution of documents
    • Assist with any office adhoc duties.
    • Assist in collection and deliveries of goods and materials.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Code 10 Drivers licence
    • Matric or equivalent work experience

    • Defensive Driving Course an advantage
