    Information Specialist (Postgraduate)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Management of the Information Centre (Information Centre Administration)

    • Plan and design annual training programmes for the year to include entry/orientation level to advanced and just-in-time information, research, literacy and academic writing sessions
    • Assist students and researchers in the use of plagiarism prevention and research tools
    • Ensure that collections and subscriptions answers to needs
    • Marketing, Awareness, and Dissemination of Information Services Communication
    • Plan and design guidelines, notices and create and awareness of postgraduate library services

    Lecturing

    Senior ICT Support - Pretoria

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Infrastructure Support  

    • Conducts daily checks on the IT infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, etc.) to monitor up time requirements and ensure that systems are running optimally.
    • Installs new servers when required. required.
    • Co-ordinates the deployment of hardware, systems and infrastructure within the campus.
    • Ensures that the necessary security protocols and maintenance procedures for the campus are followed and executed timeously which includes, but is not limited to software patching/updates, BitLocker compliance, Antimalware compliance, SCOM alerts, device imagine, and SCCM compliance.

    Senior Credit Controller - Midrand

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Administration/Collections/Handovers
    • Processing of adjustments in line with supporting documents provided by credit controller team. Ensure adjustments are reviewed,accurate, valid and complete.
    • Accurately processing of weekly banking from the cash office (Credit/Debit /Cash Payments).
    • Support Debtors Manager and National Senior Credit Controller in ensuring the campus team achieves set target for set period and proactively engage with National Senior Credit Controller in directing team activities to meet set targets.
    • Support Debtors Manager and National Senior Credit Controller with regards to overseeing the formal performance inprovement plan (PIP) of credit controller team when necessary and track requirements as set out in the plan.
    • Responsible for oversight and supervision of credit controller team functions, deliverables, quality and output. Excalibur to be specifically used by enire team. Report back to National Senior Credit Controller on team functions and performance.

    Customer Service:

    • Handle account payer’s complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives.

    Quality Management & Reporting:

    Administrative Assistant (Finance)

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Accounts Payable and Procurement – OPEX and CAPEX
    • Preparation and capturing of purchase orders in accounting system (D365) for approval by Head Finance, Campus Head, Financial Manager, Brand Accountant, CFO, Senior Portfolio Team, and MD based on Brand approval framework.
    • Purchase order request to be reviewed against policy and quote requirements and returned to requestor if not complete.

    • Bachelor of Arts Honours/ Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Development Studies.

    Alternatively:

    • Postgraduate Diploma, MA/ MPhil, PhD/ DPhil qualification in Development Studies.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Lecturing experience: Ideally two years lecturing experience in Development Studies.
    • Work experience in a field related to research, development planning, development management, social sector management, municipal planning, and service delivery.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management /IT Management or a similarly related field to the third-year level PLUS an MBA or a postgraduate diploma in a related field. 

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • ​Lecturing experience: in Business Analysis/Mathematical modelling
    • Work experience in data analytics and/or data modelling
