    Lead Product Technologist: Beverages

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    You will be responsible for the successfully development of good quality, sustainable, and cost-effective products that are informed by a clear NPD brief. You will be expected to deliver on tasks on multiple project work streams within confined timelines, taking the lead role for supplier interface within the business/category, supporting and occasionally standing in for the NPD Manager to prioritise and drive projects to completion.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Work with suppliers to develop and source new raw materials that are specifically suited to the product ensuring that the raw materials have the necessary Certifications (Halaal / Kosher etc.)
    • Play a strong role in external customer interface
    • Provide Category Marketing with all key information necessary for designing consumer product research 
    • Develop formulations based on product concepts provided by Category Brand teams with claims and regulatory restrictions in mind and make a prototype of the product
    • Calculate NI’s and GDA’s and ensure back panel of packaging is correct
    • Determine plant requirements and aid with capex (capability) requirements
    • Draw up development recipes and submit to Finance for approval, after which ensure all recipe data is loaded into our R&D system
    • Conduct ambient and accelerated shelf-life tests
    • Send samples for micro testing and for independent lab testing to ensure claims can be met
    • Correct and timeous completion of documentation and ensure it is filed correctly (Raw Material
    • Circulation form, Trial request, trial report etc.)
    • Conduct pre-trial meetings with the unit and thereafter conduct online trials to determine capability of the plant. Ensure that the prototype developed is able to run online.
    • HACCP studies – communicate any sensitive raw materials / changes to the plant or processes
    • Interface strongly with Supply Chain to prioritize and execute CI and process optimization projects
    • Identify opportunities for the substitution of new raw materials in current products
    • Work with outsourced manufacturers for 3rd party projects
    • Employ sustainable design techniques in the development of new products (e.g. life cycle design, design for recycling, reduced waste, etc.)

    Category S&OP Manager: Grains

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    You are accountable for managing the Profitable Sales and Operations Planning (PS&OP) process for a 24 month rolling planning horizon that includes the demand, production and material plans for all units within the category. Understand the financial implications of the various plans and manage opportunities/risk through scenario planning and risk mitigation plans. The demand plan includes an unconstrained forecast with opportunities and risks regularly revised to reflect the best estimate of future customer demand.  Variations of demand vs plan must be managed to ensure optimal category support and risk assessment.  Define and manage a 24 months rolling unconstrained & constrained Master Production Plan across categories, using demonstrated and future expected (Internal/ external) manufacturing, logistics and supplier capacities and capabilities. Manage and lead the analysis of critical demand-supply imbalances as input to the S&OP process : Reflecting  opportunities & vulnerabilities / risks regularly revised In order to meet projected customer demand at an optimized costs, working capital and targeted customer service level.  You also drive to deliver superior customer service level by ensuring all the plans are geared towards delivering what the customer demands on time and in full (OTIF).  Drive continuous improvement in demand planning, supply planning, standardization of processes and adoption of new supply planning tools/practices

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Manage and lead the demand planning process with include the Demand Review.  Ensure full participation, tracking of KPI’s, reviewing of opportunities/risks and suggested mitigation plans and escalations.
    • Manage and lead the supply planning process that include the Supply Review: Ensure full participation and tracking of KPI’s. 
    • Mange the supply  risks and the development of contingency plans to close the gaps. All actions to highlight impact details and trade-offs.
    • Manage the development and maintenance of the inventory model by ensuring that there are  process & tool to define inventory policies for the categories  in consultation with Group Policies.
    • Manage and lead the S&OP process for the category. This includes  highlighting all the gaps (supply and demand) and proposed actions to close them with the trade-offs as well
    • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing  inventory levels, production plans, actual versus planned,  service levels and  from the review identifying areas of improvement and proposing  corrective actions with the relevant teams.
    • Drive for standardisation across the category with regards to the planning processes and working closely with the group S&OP team 
    • Support the S&OP Director in preparing for the Portfolio & IBR process with relevant EXCO teams by providing insights on the Category plans; key assumptions; risks & opportunities
    • People Management:  Ensure that Set/review objectives and conduct performance appraisals/IPA, Manage administrative tasks (leave…),Develop and manage supply team, Provide input to succession planning for Sales & Operations team

    Group Safety Manager

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    The Safety manager has overall responsibility for managing safety performance within the integrated supply chain and manage safety related initiatives. The role is also responsible to define and implement Safety policies and standards across the integrated supply chain by collaborating with site level SSE* coordinators / officers.     • Work closely with Occupational Health personnel to identify & mitigate risks that may lead to occupational ill health. Advise line managers on all accident / incident investigations plus providing support on investigation on incidents reported to Workman’s Compensation Commissioner. 
    • Define with site leaders the process to be followed to develop and lead internal crisis committees and safety committee; Support the site leader in leading serious incident investigation and analysis.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the TB Behavior Based Safety Program and drive deployment in the site. Influence senior management and drive safety and environmental leadership through line management.

    Revenue Management Business Partner

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    You will support price to consumer and promotional optimization, and portfolio development activities for BU(s). You will build and maintain decision tools (leveraging the profit waterfalls built by the Customer Pricing Analyst) and execute the appropriate calendar of activities to achieve this. You will report to the Managing Director and RM Director but your daily work will be within the BU team. You will drive the implementation of a RM mind-set (and methodologies) demonstrating financial impact in a way that builds credibility.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

    • Support the Managing Director of BU by providing high quality analyses and insightful recommendations on an array of commercial topics (e.g. prices, promotions, portfolio development) with a strong focus on consumers and/or shoppers. You will build and continuously improve decision tools to that effect
    • Support the Managing Director with robust business casing for relevant pricing and portfolio decisions considering both internal and external data/information
    • Support Managing Director in the preparation of RM executive committees (Category/Exco)
    • Assist the RM Director to embed and manage the activities contained in the RM calendar of activities, extend RM best practices and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
    • Occasionally you will also help drive strategic initiatives. 
    • Support customer team in identifying pricing and promotions opportunities by monitoring relevant KPIs and updating a predetermined set of analyses and reports 
    • Support customer team in shaping recommendations and developing a story to the trade for their timely execution.
    • Provide customer and marketing teams with sophisticated RM input such as price thresholds analysis, price pack discount curves, elasticity calculations, etc.
    • Query multiple databases and consolidate data from multiple, disaggregated sources to build robust decision-making tools (e.g. Nielsen, consumer panel, retailer sellout, etc.)
    • Support product portfolio development by assessing multiple dimensions (financial, competitive, channel) to identify opportunities to innovate, and by participating in the NPD process
    • Conduct competitor pricing intelligence analysis to develop a robust understanding of TigerBrand’s position in the market relative to price and awareness of our price competitiveness
    • Manage vendors and 3rd party suppliers of data and information (ad hoc basis)
    • Develop regular and timely updates to track commercial performance according to a robust monitoring plan, and generate recommendations to the Managing Director accordingly

    QUALIFICATIONS

    As a Brand Manager for Grains Category comprising of top brands Jungle, Tastic, Morvite, and ACE among others, you will report into a Marketing Manager.  You execute brand plans while trying to achieve sustainable and profitable growth for your brands.     • Lead creative agency through the Communication Strategy process for your brand(s), culminating in the deliver of a Communication Strategy sign off and campaign judging and sign off of above-the-line and below-the-line campaigns vs the agreed brand blueprint  
    • Ensure key day-to-day Brand Management tasks are executed fully and to a high level of quality including S&OP forecasting, media planning, customer promotion tracking, Marketing Investment spend and management, quality tracking, brand health and share tracking and range management

    Electrician (milling FMCG)

    To repair and maintain plant and machinery in order that optimal production can be realized.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • To ensure that machinery used in the mill and packaging is correctly maintained, and is safe to operate
