    Job Requirements

    The Service Desk provides end-users with the ability to log tickets and requests, acting as a single point of contact for all Applications, Infrastructure and specific 3rd Party related problems.

    You will assume full responsibility to progress each ticket logged onto the Ticket Management System for any resolver group, irrespective of geography, application or support area, managing by priority and determined by business impact, providing regular end-user updates and ‘real time’ escalation within any support groups or vendors to ensure visibility of any potential failures to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the end-user.

    Job Requirements

    • You need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of managed computer environments, basic Networking skills and 2 - 3 years' relevant experience within a Call / Service Desk or similar environment.
    • It's important that you pay meticulous attention to detail by nature, have an analytical and logical ‘mind-set’ when dealing with issues and are able to use varying styles of communication to suit the occasion and the audience.
    • You also need to be able to work unsupervised and portray a strong service-oriented (‘can-do’) attitude, with a strong focus on the ‘internal customer’ approach, committed to exceeding customer expectations.

    You will need to bring specific technical knowledge and apply it to the solution development for a specific customer. You will participate in the design and development of a technical architecture that will be aligned with the client's business objectives. You are going to define a target goal state and the requirements from the current environment to achieve the goal state. This role will combine technical ability, business acumen, and an excellent understanding of industry standards and technology trends.

    You will be an integral team member, building relationships with clients (both business and IT) and demonstrating architecture concepts and details.

    Key Areas Of Responsibility

    • Understanding the client's business goals, IT plans, and architectures and articulating linkage to the proposed data warehouse architecture and application designs;
    • Designing and developing the architecture, roadmap, and standards for the solution that will align with the customer business and IT objectives;
    • Designing and developing a technical architecture for integration of the platform into the client's enterprise;
    • Being a trusted advisor to the client's decision makers by establishing credibility and expertise in the solution technology and solution offerings;
    • Working with the project managers to scope projects and developing a statement of work, project plan, and risk analysis;
    • Providing technical thought leadership and actively participating in the design, implementation, and roll-out efforts; and,
    • Making hardware sizing and configuration recommendations.

    Job Requirements

    • You need to have an IT degree (non-negotiable) and 5 - 7 years' of experience. It's important that you can work well within a team and on your own, that you pay meticulous attention to detail and that you have good analysis and problem solving skills.
    • There are a lot of technical requirements e.g. Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, Oracle, JIRA etc. that will be discussed in more detail should you meet the minimum requirements.
