    EHS Specialist: Non-Manufacturing - Cape Town HQ

    What we’re looking for:

    • We are looking for an EHS Specialist (Non-Manufacturing) to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located at the Cape Town HQ and will report to the EHS Lead: SSA Non-Manufacturing. The role is responsible for guiding and implementing occupational, health, and environmental programmes within the warehouses, depots, fleet and sales operations in the area of responsibility. The successful incumbent would work in close conjunction with the EHS Manager for SPL (Supply Planning & Logistics), Warehouse Managers & Supervisors to execute EHS aligned to the BU strategy. They will also lead and execute site based injury prevention strategy, conduct compliance inspections, drive EHS capability including fleet safety and investigate/report on incidents.

    The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting customers with the following:

    • Work with operational warehouse/DC team to fully implement PepsiCo EHS Standards across all departments and shifts.
    • Attend Daily and Monthly Site Management meetings to address critical areas of EHS performance and drive resolution of action plans.
    • Develop & ensure implementation of all the required EHS compliance procedures, work instructions & policies
    • Lead roll-out of PepsiCo EHS Best Practices across all departments and shifts
    • Lead the identification of continuous Improvement versus PepsiCo set of KPIs through conducting performance reviews with EHS management & cross functional management to ensure performance as per AOP targets
    • Define & implement EHS planned Inspections on regular intervals & report findings on myEHS
    • Lead the implementation of PepsiCo Behaviour Based Safety program at assigned pilot site
    • Lead internal EHS compliance through regular audits and ensuring action plans are monitored & effective corrective actions are implemented
    • Work closely with Site Management ensure consistent financial performance versus AOP plan
    • Ensure the site is complying with PepsiCo GEHSMS, ISO 45001, & ISO 14001 international standards.
    • Ensure deployment of annual EHS training plan across all departments in liaison with the EHS Capability Lead to achieve the annual organization training plans
    • Report all EHS KPIs monthly on PepsiCo's myEHS system and reporting of all incidents & NMs according to PepsiCo EHS incidents reporting standard.
    • Effectively manage the EHS culture transformation & risk transformation plans
    • Effectively facilitate the PepsiCo Multi-certification audit program through external audit team – ERM

    myEHS:

    • Assist with Near-Miss Incident Logging and closing out of Near-Miss Actions (Incidents / Accidents will remain with the SHE Specialist)
    • Conduct annual assigned GEHSMS standards self-assessments
    • Create action plans and track closure rate to achieve Zero (0) overdue actions

    • Operational Risk for Site through best practices

    Manager – SPL MOVE Engineer, Supply Planning & Logistics, AMESA Sector

    Responsibilities

    Lead the technical modelling & design for AMESA’s Warehousing and Transportation tactical & strategic projects, strategies & investments. Such as;

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences (i.e. Operations Research)
    • 10+ years experience in warehousing & transportation, with at least 5 years in a field and multi-country regional capability development role – planning and systems implementation experience desireable

    Warehouse Manager - Polokwane DC Snacks

    What we’re looking for

    • We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located at Port Elizabeth DC and will be reporting to the DC Manager. The role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse operations

    The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following:

    • Manage warehouse operations end to end, including but not limited to the following key process activities: (Receiving inventory, put aways, storage, picking, packing, checking and loading).
    • Ensure freight optimization through effective load planning & Scheduling achieving desired TAT.
    • Responsible for total warehouse picking and loading/offloading Primary Distribution (Inbound & Outbound), Secondary Distribution.
    • Develop, monitor and adapt KPI’S to address operational and Performance requirements.

    People:

    Global Procurement Energy Sourcing Specialist - Cape Town HQ

    What we’re looking for:

    Work to provide input to CoEs on market requirements, support negotiations of important contracts as well as developments with key suppliers, align BU stakeholders on category decisions, implement Sector & Cluster Procurement aligned mission and strategy, deliver BU procurement annual and long-term strategic targets, lead P&L Savings & Productivity initiatives, ensure supply security and ensure full compliance to GP Policies & Proceudres.

    • Manage (in close collaboration with the SA GP Capex & Make Category Manager) implementation of the SA Cluster wide Procurement vision, mission and strategy.
    • Support the implementation of the PEP+ Road map in SA

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    Pallet Control

    • Manage and control Pallet movements
    • Checking and controlling CDC/DC Chep Dashboards
    • Support to the DC’s on managing the Chep system

    Process Alignment

    • Monitor in- and out movements on CDC and DC level vs captured on the Chep system
    • Monitor adhering to Pallet receipt and transfer out processes

    Reporting

    • Facilitating and Action weekly pallet meetings
    • Weekly Pallet summary on counts received from DC’s to be captured on the Weekly Scorecard
    • Monitor and manage Pallet Count variances
    • Monitoring pallet exchanges and customer outstanding balances and reports
    • Weekly update on outstanding pallets from customers with comments and action plan in co-operation with ACT on pallet recovery

    ACT Functionality

    • Support on Access Control on the Chep System
    • Identifying areas of opportunity for training and development of Stock Controllers and Site Administrators in the execution of Pallet movement transactions
    • Training to Site Forklift Drivers and Stock Controllers on Pallet defects and what to look for before a pallet is rejected
    • Monitor frequency of damaged/broken pallet return per site to determine if poor handling contribute to this number
    • Time to time site visits for unexpected pallet counts to verify correctness of counts and to monitor if pallets is not used for other than products only–this will avoid rental on-cost of non-movable pallets
