    General worker: loader mixing

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To ensure good quality approved bags get packed into cases as per required standards per product. To ensure that non-conforming bags is striped and the product recovered to be tipped back on the line

    KEY PERFOMANCE AREA:

    • Help achieve AIB Gold Standard Re-Certification by practicing good GMP and HASSP.
    • Help to ensure and maintain 5S scores.
    • Report any product issues to supervisor.
    • Identify and remove non-conforming bags and cases.
    • Strip of non-conforming product to be re-introduced to the line.
    • Ensure adherence to all reasonable instructions.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 1.5 to 2 years work experience within the food industry and FMCG.

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Assertive and results orientated.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to work productively in a stressful environment.
    • Willing to work shifts as and overtime when required.
    • Medically fit to work in a cold environment.

    Palletizer

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • Responsible for ensuring that the correct packing materials/cartons are used for correct final product and that the packed cartons are correctly packed onto the pallets at the required rate to meet the overall line production rate. To efficiently sort or remove all the foreign material from the product in other to avoid customer complaints

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Operate the date coding equipment

    • Check if correct date and other relevant information is programmed
    • Ensuring the correct taping of boxes to avoid carton damage
    • Ensuring that the carton date and product coding is correctly applied, legible and in the correct place on the carton
    • Ensuring that pallets are stacked in the correct pallet configuration and slip sheets are used as required.
    • Achieve budget line rates by ensuring that the right cartons are packed onto pallets
    • Assists with problem resolution within capacity
    • Ensuring the correct housekeeping and cleaning of work area
    • Contribute towards waste management.
    • Minimize packaging losses and focus on continuous improvement.

    Loading

    • Ensuring that all wire ties are removed at the staging area
    • Ensuring that the correct product is loaded at the correct hopper
    • Ensure that the S-1 Ticket s removed before tipping
    • Ensuring that the line run without gaps
    • Ensuring 5s on the work place

    Sorting

    • Focus on Rehydration system to make sure its running as required for recovery purposes.
    • Ensuring efficient sorting to remove all foreign material
    • -Report the spillages to the SPOs
    • Being at the work place all the time without fail
    • Report operational and maintenance problems to SPOs
    • Adherence to all food safety requirements

    EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

    Experience

    • Grade 12
    • 1.5 to 2 years work experience within the food industry and FMCG.

    Driver: RMI Forklift

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To carry out forklift driving duties at RMI

     KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Safety

    • Complete daily forklift checklist at the beginning and end of shift.
    • Conduct general forklift and maintenance checks daily.
    • Operate forklift as per required operating procedures.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols.

    Quality

    • Maintain high standard of housekeeping and hygiene on forklift and surrounding work area.
    • Understanding of product quality and grading.

    Delivery

    • The safe supply of products to the processing lines.
    • Issue correct product, and CDs to the line.
    • Issue product to the line as per stipulated line rate
    • Read and interpret weighbridge and issue documents.
    • Remove waste bins and provide clean empty bins for production. Performance
    • Supply product to the line according to safe work procedure.
    • Flexibility to work shifts and changing production demands.
    • Understand the off-loading of trucks and loading of empty containers and bins back onto the trucks.
    • Supply product to the trimming area and assist weighing trimmed product.
    • Perform task as when required to do so outside of work area.

    EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

    Experience

    • Grade 12
    • 1.5 to 2 years forklift driving experience.
    • 1.5 to 2 years’ experience in a FMCG industry Qualifications
    • Valid Forklift Driver’s License

    Abilities / Competencies

    • Assertive and results orientated.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Numeric skills.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and superior regarding material availability and non -conformance.
