    Construction Contracts Manager

    • As the Construction Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the renewable energy projects our client is leading, specifically around the construction of the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project. One of your main duties’ surrounds overseeing contractual administration and providing expert guidance to project management teams. From optimizing contract efficiency to managing stakeholder relationships, you’ll ensure seamless execution of purchasing and selling contracts throughout all project phases. You’ll actively monitor project progress, enforce contract provisions, and facilitate effective communication between parties, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to project success.
    • Under EPC Co Director supervision, you will provide Project Managers and Engineering Managers with oversight and advisory input into project-specific contract management activities during implementation, and act as a focal point for contract-related matters throughout all phases of projects.

    What you’ll need

    • We’re seeking candidates with a degree in Engineering and/or Construction Law, coupled with at least 7 years of experience in large complex projects (EPC), if within the Renewable Energy industry then highly advantageous. Professional certification in Contracts Management is recommended, along with a demonstrated ability to navigate various facets of contract management. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach are essential for success in this role.

    • To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least 5 years of working experience in a technical portfolio administration role gained within a private client investment environment or asset manager. You need to have a strong grasp of FICA requirements for South African accounts and be familiar with the KYC process for offshore accounts. Exceptional Excel skills, the ability to multi-task effectively, and a solid understanding of portfolio returns and asset types are essential. Excellent presentation and communication skills are a must as you will be dealing directly with clients.
