• You have a passion for investment analysis, a knack for building and managing model portfolios and enjoy engaging with Fund Managers and clients.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

• In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and managing model portfolios and multi-managed solutions. You will work closely with the Portfolio Manager in supporting various aspects of the business as well as conducting qualitative analysis and due diligence on Fund Managers. Your responsibilities will include reviewing the performance of model portfolios, researching macro and microeconomic trends, and engaging with clients through Investment Committee meetings. You will also construct performance and economic review documents, create marketing content, and assist with onboarding clients and administrative support.

You’ll be working in an environment that is collaborative and dynamic, where your contributions will directly impact both the firm and its clients as well as yourself in terms of performance bonuses.

What you’ll need

• To qualify for this opportunity, you need to have an Honours degree in Investments, Finance or Economics, coupled with a minimum of 1 year’s working experience as an Analyst ideally doing performance analysis. You should also be pursuing your CFA studies and proficiency in coding languages such as R or Python is a significant advantage. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to your success. Due to the role being based in Paarl, you need to be living in the surrounding areas and have your own transport to get to work daily.
