    Digitalization Catalogue Assistant 6-Month FTC

    Job Description

    • As a Digitalization Catalogue Assistant you will be working alongside the strategic catalogue marketing manager to assist in the process of digitization and optimization of our extensive catalogue.
    • This role involves actively working through line item by line item as prioritized to ensuring catalogue meta data is verified and populated in various formats including that of label copy and adhering to production processes, with the release planning team. In addition will be required to support with key optimization audits and feedback findings and gaps for optimization. 
    • These activities will include but not limited to planning, quality control, metadata management, assist with the co-ordination of converting physical music media (vinyl, cassette, CD, etc.) into high-quality digital formats and dealing with service providers to ensure the appropriate delivery of such music media for production while ensuring compliance with digital preservation standards.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for preserving important collections through digital means.

    What you'll do:

    • Accurately input metadata and catalogue information into appropriate documents and platforms to accurately update digital database
    • Convert physical music media (vinyl, cassette, CD, etc.) into high-quality digital formats
    • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to priotize digitatisation projects and meet deadlines
    • Ensure the accurate and consistent application of metadata standards to digital assets
    • Prepare reports on progress and outcome of digtaisation projects
    • Conduct quality control checks and audits including researching various platforms to ensure the integrity and quality of digitized material
    • Manage the digital asset management system, including organizing, storing, and maintaining digital files
    • Maintain detailed records of digitisation processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory of physical media
    • Organize and maintain digital files in a systematic and easily accessible manner

    Who you are:

    • Proficient in MS Package (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel) and IT related systems.
    • Experience in digitisation projects and digital asset management.
    • Proficiency with digitisation equipment and software
    • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
    • Strong understanding of metadata standards and practices
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Fast and accurate data capturing skills

    Intern - South Africa

    What you'll do:

    • Collate and prepare information for weekly Label meetings and forward planning document
    • Support the PR team in the management of email marketing campaigns and proof-reading press releases and website articles, newsletters, media samples
    • Administrate social media plans for artists' upcoming releases as well as assisting with growing social media presence and fan interaction   
    • Help coordinate and execute promotional events, including album launches and concerts as well as prepare documents and rehearsal material for artists and the production team
    • Prepare and edit canvases from music videos and banners and trailers for video premiers
    • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the A&R tea

    Who you are:

    • Recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
    • Passion for music and a strong interest in the music industry 
    • Knowledge of Afrikaans written and verbal a must
    • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok)
    • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus
    • Strong Organizational skills and attention to details 
    • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

    Business Intelligence Analyst

    What you'll do:

    • Utilize analytical and financial models, internal business intelligence, and data tools to assess performance across multiple business areas. Identify trends and present data-driven recommendations to the team and key internal stakeholders.
    • Design, localise and manage dashboards and bespoke reporting solutions to guide decision makers and help identify opportunities while maintaining data integrity and report accuracy
    • Serve as the primary data expert for the labels, collaborating closely with stakeholders in the development, tracking and review of market strategies
    • Key liaison in understanding data sources, systems and working with teams to implement enhancements to support company data advancement and education
    • Assist in exploratory work by leveraging new datasets from streaming, digital & tech partners, social media, and digital ad performance data
    • Conduct business case and/or deal scenario modelling / analysis in support of potential investments, partnerships, acquisitions, and new business initiatives

    Who you are:

    • You will have 2-4 years of experience as an analyst
    • Music/Media industry experience preferred, but not required. Candidate expected to demonstrate knowledge of how the music business operates and about the evolving digital landscape
    • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills, and demonstrate curiosity, attention to detail, creativity in problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making
    • A detail-orientated, excellent communicator, and enthusiastic collaborator that works well with team members that represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills
    • You have experience in financial analysis, modelling, and presenting outcomes clearly, thoroughly, and concisely.
    • You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have good knowledge of BI and / or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
    • Confident in SQL (other data programming languages are a plus) and have experience with relational databases
    • Ability to work with technical teams to define business requirements for automated reporting systems.
    • Passion for music is absolutely required and desire to build a career in the industry
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks at once and work to deadlines
