    Barman - Cape Town

    Responsibilities 

    • Mix traditional and creative cocktails
    • Preparation of other alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks
    • Daily preparation of garnish to be served with cocktails and drinks.
    • Daily stock and freshness checks (making sure that old stock is sold before expiry date)
    • Daily counting of stock and checking of variances (if applicable)
    • Clean glasses and bar utensils
    • Make drinks per order in accordance with the recipe.
    • Have an extreme understanding of the cocktail menu as well mas the recipes per drink

    Requirements 

    • Grade 12 Minimum
    • Minimum 2 years previous experience at an upper tier establishment
    • Knowledge of cocktails and drinks would be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of POS systems would be beneficial.

    • Build and deploy Gin portfolio education, tastings, workshops at scale (physical and digital solutions for consumers, customers and Primo’s) and deliver occasion, engagement, and entertainment programs within the On Trade & Off Trade Specialist accounts with clear KPIs.
    • You will support our sales team in building outstanding relationships with our customers in the On Trade, understanding their needs, their local consumers, and developing and executing solutions.
    • As an expert for the category, you will support the local Commercial and Brand teams in defining how we show up in the relevant outlets and channels with a focus on increasing availability, visibility, quality and execution.

    Skills and Experience 

    • Willing to travel and work extended hours as and when necessary.
    • 2-3 years on consumption sales and merchandising experience in a related FMCG liquor environment. 
    • Extremely knowledgeable about Gin and total Spirits category.
    • Working experience in premium on trade.
    • Wide network of strong industry relationships.

    • Experience in managing a budget & measuring success.
