    Brand Ambassador - Johannesburg

    • This role will give you an exciting and challenging opportunity to represent one of the world’s leading gin Brand. As a Bombay Brand Ambassador, you will be the face of our Gin portfolio in South Africa demonstrating the key attributes that make Bombay the iconic Global Brand it is.

    Responsibilities

    • You will be the visible face for our Bombay portfolio in South Africa and increase brand desire through the development and execution of strong advocacy programs, tools and assets.
    • Be a leading light and representative within the South African gin landscape and a revered source of knowledge on the category. Develop a reputation & become well-known among the Gin community, by building relationships with relevant press, influencers, business partners, and customers to drive attention to our brands.
    • Build and deploy Gin portfolio education, tastings, workshops at scale (physical and digital solutions for consumers, customers and Primo’s) and deliver occasion, engagement, and entertainment programs within the On Trade & Off Trade Specialist accounts with clear KPIs.
    • You will support our sales team in building outstanding relationships with our customers in the On Trade, understanding their needs, their local consumers, and developing and executing solutions.
    • As an expert for the category, you will support the local Commercial and Brand teams in defining how we show up in the relevant outlets and channels with a focus on increasing availability, visibility, quality and execution.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales team to bring our amazing brands to life, through hosting events and brand activations.
    • Be instrumental in driving and refining brand equity driving programs and trade advocacy initiatives across key on trade sectors in collaboration with regional and global teams.
    • Assist as part of a wider stakeholder team in the development and evolution of the guest experience at our brand home in Laverstoke Mill

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Must have grade 12. 
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
    • High caliber bilingual communication ability
    • A Sales, marketing, hospitality management or Food and Beverage (F&B) management related diploma would be an essential

    Skills and Experience 

    • Willing to travel and work extended hours as and when necessary.
    • 2-3 years on consumption sales and merchandising experience in a related FMCG liquor environment. 
    • Extremely knowledgeable about Gin and total Spirits category.
    • Working experience in premium on trade.
    • Wide network of strong industry relationships.
    • Strong communication and influencing skills.
    • Experience in managing a budget & measuring success.
    • Experience in Spirits and/or Beverage Industry is a distinct advantage.
    • The ability to deliver and keep the brand team(s) up-to-date and informed of key on trade insights and trends that could positively impact implementation plans and executional activity.
