    Senior Analyst, BI

    Position Overview:

    • As a Senior Business Improvement Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our journey towards continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will lead and facilitate Business Unit level improvement teams, guiding them to align with strategic business objectives and achieve targeted improvement goals. Your expertise in data analysis, process optimization, and change management will be instrumental in driving efficiency and enhancing business performance across the organization.

    Minimum Requirements    
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •  B Eng (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
    •  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Recommended/Desirable and/or)

    Coordinator, Export International Marketing SA

    Job Advert Summary    
    PURPOSE:

    • To ensure that the Group shipping function operates optimally within the South African and Exxaro International Trading AG (EITAG) export set-up.
    • To coordinate and administer vessel management and all activities pertaining to final invoicing and shipping.

    Minimum Requirements    
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • N Dip: Logistics (Essential/Minimum or)
    • N Dip: Marketing Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • B Tech (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 3-5 years   Relevant experience in Logistics and/or export coordination within a bulk product environment  (Essential/Minimum) Operational

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Administration and Document Control  

    •  Compile and manage contracts of service providers and customers
    • Evaluate and recommend contract stipulations
    • Keep record and monitor contract compliance and renewal applications
    • Terminate contractual relationship upon completion
    • Ensure that the issuing, documentation and customer instructions correlate
    • Verify quality of goods dispatched
    • Forward documentation to relevant parties via applicable medium/courier/mailing/digital systems
    • Execute financial invoicing of delivered cargo. Manage volume as per agreement
    • Coordinate and quality assure data and statistics related to demurrage/dispatch on export vessels
    • Verify forex/exchange rate calculations. Ensure remittance is received for expedited transactions
    • Nomination of vessels with port(s)
    • Preparation of all shipping instructions including bill of lading
    • Forwarding clearing and sampling and analysis as per international agreement
    • Compile shipping and logistics file per vessel for record purposes

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance    

    • Ensure adherence to contract
    • Enforce contractual rights and obligations
    • Ensure documentation is in line with departmental budgetary stipulations 

    Contract Administration  

    • Develop, implement and maintain a database
    • Compile tender documentation as per project
    • Support observation, measurement and monitoring of commodity.
       

    Customer and Client Relationship Management  

    • Liaise with logistics personnel and suppliers in order to provide input in development of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with suppliers
    • Support internal and external relations, including the interface with external and internal role players or other functions responsible to ensure that the export needs are met
    • Provide relevant and specialised support to applicable stakeholders
    • Establish and maintain relations with stakeholders to ensure optimal export efficiency

    Financial Administration and Reporting    

    • Assist in preparation of section's annual budget by forecasting operational costs and monitor expenditure and cash flow on a regular basis
    • Conduct financial analysis and focus on advancements in specialist field
    • Price reconciliations back to the mines
    • Confirm (allocate against vessels) all 3rd party invoices (RBCT, agents, etc.)
    • Issue and prepare invoices for payments to service providers
    • Follow-up with finance on actual payments dates to ensure payments are made
    • Ensure payments for service providers, agent's commissions and entitlement is calculated correctly, verified, approved and paid on time (e.g. TNPA, RBCT, TCM Matola and Stevedores)
    • Implement a framework for entitlement customers as per agreement for volume and monthly pricing of entitlement on API4

    Functional Management    

    • Financial management: Comply with marketing and logistics budget and forecast costs
    • Performance management: Assist with implementing strategic plans through disciplined execution processes, track implementation and provide feedback to relevant manager.  Contribute towards functional/cross-functional activities to ensure strategic alignment. Track and drive functional targets/goals to achieve results.
    • Continuous improvement and functional change: Contribute towards identifying, advocating and implementing improvement and change. Contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement and change agility in function
    • Engagement/communication: Engage with operations and cross- functionally with peers. Represent marketing and logistics and the Company externally as required
    • Governance: Ensure marketing and logistics adheres to Group governance, policies and standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline
    • Standardise, simplify and speed-up functional processes and eliminate duplication/bureaucracy

    Safe and Healthy Work Environment    

    • Adhere to all health and safety practices and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis
    • Address all unsafe practices and potential hazardous situations and rectify/report to superior
    • Comply with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC)/technical requirements
    • Wear applicable Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times

    Sales and Marketing Plan    

    • Execute, expedite and maintain sales orders
    • Conduct monthly reporting on sales- and related functions
    • Ensure accurate quality and quantity of products
    • Invoicing on previous week deliveries to RBCT
    • Stock quality update (per grade)
    • Train quality update per mine/per product
    • Consolidation of month end stocks at mine and/or sidings
