    Maintenance Engineer

    Why do we need you ?

    • Ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operation of the factory.
    • Ensure good maintenance strategy and standard to minimise down time and costs.
    • Fault finding on machines, and to improve plant efficiency by optimising the available equipment.
    • Identify process improvements that could result in modifying or replacement of plant.
    • Generate reports from SAP PM for analysis as required by management.
    • Maintain a high standard of discipline and adherence to company procedures and safety standards and precautions as laid down in the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act
    • Prepare CAPEX applications for improvement projects and lead project teams to ensure World Class Manufacturing (WCM) projects are completed timeously.
    • Ensuring contractor compliance to all SGCP standards and procedures.

    Is this job for you ?

    • An ideal candidate must have an appropriate university degree B.Eng. Mechanical. Management / Leadership qualification and advantage, Knowledge, and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
    • You need to have 3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment, working within ISO9000/14000/18000 systems.
    • Good communication skills, project management. Knowledge of PM & EEM experience is an advantage.

    Manufacturing Manager

    Why do we need you ?

    • Ensure compliance with EHS and Saint-Gobain regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customers and company.
    • Manage Technical Projects (CAPEX and OPEX) and ensure they are completed on time, in full and on budget (OTIF).
    • Manage production and ensure that production is done according to the Production Plan and ensure that products produced are to an acceptable standard.
    • Align and execute strategic projects according to the priorities of the business.
    • Identify training and development opportunities for Shift Leader and their teams and monitor progress against KPIs.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor all control procedures, recommending improvements to improve plant efficiencies such as OEE, Availability, MTBF and MTTR.
    • To lead, coach and manage the engineering and production teams to ensure an engaged workforce.

    Millwright - Springs

    Why do we need you ?

    • Attending to plant electrical and mechanical breakdowns in a shift.
    • Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the safety regulations and advising the maintenance manager on any risks or improvements required for all equipment.
    • Replacing defective machine parts or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts
    • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
    • Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.
    • Safety and equipment inspections
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machine.

    • An ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering or a minimum of an N3 engineering qualification and a Millwright Trade test.
    • You need to have 5 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing/plant environment, exposure to WinCC flowcharts and understanding of PLC I/Os to assist in fault finding. Experience in Variable Speed drives, Hydraulic and Pneumatic.
    • Good communication skills, project management. Knowledge of EWO and Kaizen methodologies.

    • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of both the Finished goods, Local and Imported merchandise and Raw material warehouse.

    Lab Technician

    • Understand the importance and conform to the requirements of the various health; safety; quality and environment policies and procedures.
    • Daily data capturing and reporting on specification adherence, control plan adherence and abnormalities on production process control resulting in deteriorated process capability.
    • Develop visual standards for critical process control, easy to understand and applying statistical process control or other applicable tools. Ensure step 0 conformance to achieve CpK <1.33.
    • Support the lab in maintaining effective control of test methods (Gage R&R) and equipment (MSA) through application of relevant quality tools.
    • Assist in investigating customer complaints, write up complaint reports, and determine RCA.
    • Investigate alternative or develop new testing methods to keep improving testing techniques and streamline efficiency.
    • Develop and compile standard safe operating procedure manuals for testing equipment.
    • Assist with stock control for all chemicals and consumables in the laboratory.

    • An ideal candidate must have a Diploma/Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Sciences. You should have successfully completed an Internship at the Saint-Gobain sites, or alternatively have worked at least 3 years in a laboratory environment. Exposure to WCM/Continuous improvement/Six Sigma experience and ISO/lab management experience/certifications advantageous.Good technical report writing and experience with Minitab/Design Expert/Statistical software will set you apart. Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, and DoE experience ideal.
