    Senior Associate Sales: Customised Trade Solutions

    Job Purpose

    To grow Global revenue streams and market share by sourcing, promoting and structuring profitable customised trade solutions & products to qualifying new and existing Nedbank clients.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Create effective sales plans to meet annual targets for profitable organic and new business growth;
    • Be able to offer trade finance solutions to wholesale banking clients and have a sound understanding of pre and post shipment finance structures and trade instruments including complex Letters of Credit ;  
    • Have a sound understanding of ICC rules governing Letters of Credit and Guarantees;
    • Investigate the feasibility of deal proposals from a Credit Risk perspective and meaningfully assist in the preparation of the credit paper and the presentation of deals to the relevant credit committee;
    • Maintain a high level of service to clients and internal stakeholders Initiate and strengthen business relationships with key stakeholders that will enable business generation;
    • Maintain an on-going programme of presentations and training to clients and internal stakeholders;
    • Develop and implement viable growth strategies for the portfolio;
    • Scrutinize print and electronic media to ensure in-depth knowledge of clients and their industries.
    • Construct quality credit recommendations to the relevant credit committees for consideration.
    • Present applications for facilities to Credit Committees.

    People Specification

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    B Com Honours (Accounting, Business Economics, Economics)

    Head Transactor: Working Capital Solutions

    Job Purpose

    To provide investment and funding solutions for working capital transactions by identifying and advising on viable lending working capital opportunities through originating, assessing and developing deal flow through relationships (existing and to be developed) to assist clients in managing their short-term cash flow requirements. Joint responsibility for the assessment of transactions including credit risk, taxation, legal, due diligence investigation and financial modelling among others. Joint responsibility for negotiation and execution of transactions.                     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure appropriate involvement and contribution to credit assessments by providing input into the presentation to credit committee.
    • Drive successful implementation of working capital structures and pricing solutions through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure accuracy and validity of client information by interrogating assumptions and commerciality of information provided.
    • Participate and assist in managing the deal project streams undertaken by relationship management, credit and admin teams.
    • Maintain competency through keeping up to date with industry trends and legislation
    • Build trust and strong relationships both internally and externally through delivery of good quality work outputs and strong communication skills.
    • Ensure provision of timeous resolutions for internal and external stakeholders by addressing specific transaction related queries.
    • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit policies.
    • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
    • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.. Green Strategy).
    • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • B.Comm Honours (Accounting/ Engineering/  Business Economics, Economics 

    Preferred Qualification

    • Masters degree 
    • CA(SA) will be advantageous.
