    Audit Assistant Manager - Gqeberha

    Job Description    

    An Assistant Manager vacancy has opened in the offshoring division of Mazars International Services within the Mazars Gqeberha office. This division works primarily with our offices in the Netherlands and services a broad spectrum of clients in the corporate and financial services sectors. The division operates in a hybrid business model.

    The purpose of this role will be to perform audits for international clients and to assist on other audit engagements locally and internationally. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the overall audit quality standards are met for all engagements and managing junior staff. Supporting business development and building client relationships with our business partners and customers will also be key aspects of the role.

    Tax Registration Officer - Century City, Cape Town

    Job Description    
    A Tax Registration Officer role has become available within Mazars in South Africa. They would be involved in preparing, submitting, and completing VAT and Customs registrations with SARS and deal with associated correspondence. Attend to all SARS ad hoc queries allocated to them by the management team.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • VAT, PAYE and Customs registration on behalf of clients and ad hoc references for registrations
    • Liaising with SARS on behalf of Mazars on request from any Mazars internal and / or external / potential client, where this cannot be resolved by normal course of business and requires intervention at a SARS level.
    • Deregistration’s 
    • Resolve escalated queries.
    • Manage individual productivity (include completion of timesheets)/ travelling/ parking.
    • Research and identify changes in legislation and standards impacting the firm and the profession.

    Minimum Requirements

    Tax Compliance Officer (Corporate Tax) Century City

    Job Description    

    • A position has become available for a dynamic tax complaince officer to help grow our tax compliance team.Mazars is looking to fill an exciting vacancy within its tax compliance department, the person will be required to complete income tax and related returns and deal with associated correspondence. 

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Gather and collate tax related information from the audit and accounting department & clients in order to complete the following orporate returns:
    • ITR14
    • IT14SD
    • IRP6, 1st, 2nd and 3rd
    • DTR01 and DTR02
    • WT002 returns and reconciliations
    • Prepare the ITR14, IT14SD returns and supporting documentation and IRP6 returns
    • Prepare corporate tax computations and review computations prepared for tax compliance
    • Reconciliation of assessments (include objections and appeals)
    • Attend to all related Queries / Objections and Appeals, SARS queries, SARS objections and appeals(N00, NOA, ADR1)
    • Apply for tax clearance certificates (Good standing and Tender) via SARS e-filing
    • Complete DWT returns (DTR01 & DTR02) as well as WT002 monthly , bi annual and annual returns
    • Ensure quality control of the corporate returns by preparing a completed Corporate Check List when preparing returns for review
