    Project Manager - Parktown

    Job Advert Summary    
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into project plans and schedules
    • Conduct/Facilitate Project Planning sessions with project teams
    • Develop Project Management Plans, Charters, Progress & Status Reports
    • Manage and control the Project Risk and Issue Register
    • Plan and control project schedules (plans) in line with timelines and target dates.

    Sales Consultant - Parktown

    • You will support the Southern Africa Head of Sales in the execution of the formulated distribution strategies where the result will be actual sales to clients.  You will work either with the local in-country insurance partner or with the broker market both in-country or in South Africa. The outcome of which is the achievement of the sales targets as set annually.
    • You will need to become very knowledgeable of the complete line of products/services as well as client issues and needs. Your primary focus lies with seeking out new clients (direct or through brokers) and working to achieve sales targets.  To be successful in this role you will support the Africa Head of Sales in actively seeking out new sales opportunities in the targeted territories and broker channels to obtain new accounts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • You support the identification and development of concrete business opportunities by actively networking, maintaining useful contacts and establishing business relationships with prospective brokers/ clients.
    • You support the preparation of presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
    • You support the negotiation/closing of deals, complaints, or objections.
    • You support the local partner in sales and renewal negotiations.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • You have minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial services/sales.
    • You have a thorough knowledge of the English language - being able to speak a second or third language such as Portuguese or French, is a distinct advantage.
    • You have a clear understanding of how the broker market operates.
    • Knowledge of international health insurance plans in the African market would be an advantage.

    Legal Advisor - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose

    • The Legal Advisor supports the Hollard Life Solutions business with managing legal risk and providing sound legal advice. 

    Job responsibility

    • Provide appropriate, proactive legal advice through the interpretation of regulation, acts and other appropriate standards and policies.
    • Interpret all new legislation and regulation and prepare high level impact analyses
    • Identify, evaluate and advise on potential current or future legal risks
    • Draft and review contracts to ensure that the contracts entered into by Hollard are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted
    • Review and sign off policy documents as requested by the business
    • Provide legal opinion on all matters as instructed to ensure that the business’ interests are protected
    • Litigation management
    • Research and analyse the implications of case law, legislation and regulatory matters that affect the company
    • Assist and advise on complaints and queries from the Ombudsman / Financial Sector Conduct Authority (previously the FSB) where matters are escalated to Legal

    Required Knowledge and Experience  

    • 3 years of experience in Legal in the Life Insurance Industry experience
    • Customer: Daily behaviours and activities should be customer orientated. All customers internal & external to be treated fairly in all executions of duties.

    Educational Requirements    

    • LLB
    • Admitted attorney of the High Court (Advantageous)
