    Trade Fund Accountant

    Job description

    Purpose of role

    To assist the Trade Finance Manager in driving robust Trade Funds Financial processes across the business to support decision making.

    Top accountabilities

    • Compiling the trading terms budgets which includes on-invoice, rebates and tactical funds.
    • Loading Co-Op budgets in SAP.
    • Monthly reporting of all trading terms to stakeholders
    • Compiling and posting monthly accruals for trading terms.
    • Signing off CA agreements before processing in SAP.
    • Setting up and confirming product hierarchies and UoM as part of the SKU creation process.
    • Compiling the monthly amended trading terms outlook and highlighting any risks and opportunities that will support the decision making process for business performance management.
    • Loading Brandhouse list prices, intercompany selling prices and prices for export and duty free markets.
    • Ensuring all reporting, financial planning and analysis is accurate, complete and delivered on time with appropriate insight and analysis to aid understanding and decision support.
    • Compile targets, templates and other ad-hoc activities required for business plans or other trade incentives which may happen during the fiscal year.
    • Provide ad hoc analysis to support Commercial team to understand the trading spend and make the correct commercial decisions
    • Ensuring that appropriate, robust and sustainable controls and processes are in place to mitigate all material risks and that all operations are compliant with all internal and external requirements.
    • Actively participate in workshops, projects and activities to provide ideas, challenge and validation.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    Qualifications

    BComm or equivalent, studying towards CIMA or CA(SA) would be an advantage

    Experience

    • Circa 2-3 years’ experience gained in finance with particular focus on financial management principals
    • Experience of financial analysis and modeling techniques, practically applied within a commercial FMCG environment
    • Track record of success in highly demanding environment
    • In market knowledge – understands and relates to sales and marketing terminology and key performance drivers

    We are launching a 1 year Packaging Learnership, reporting into Supply. This opportunity is unique in that learners will be paid a market related salary together with the opportunity to gain an additional qualification, thereby increasing your opportunity to secure work!

    We are partnering with Imsimbi Training to provide learners with an in-depth knowledge of the skills in the Further Education and Training Certificate: Packaging. You will be able to study and gain work experience, in terms of the following modules –

    • Module 1 Fundamentals of Business Communication
    • Module 2 Mathematics
    • Module 3 Quality Principles
    • Module 4 Basic Machine Operations
    • Module 5 Operate a Filling Process
    • Module 6 Operate a Packaging Process
    • Module 7 Operator Environment

    Requirements

    • Qualifications: Matric/National Senior Certificate (NQF 3)
    • Qualifications: Matric/National Senior Certificate (NQF 3)
    • Successfully assessed & moderated as competent on the Packaging learnership
    • Performed consistently on the Packaging line against productivity targets.
    • Preference will be given to learners who completed modules, in current learnership, on first attempt
