Technical Lead, Marketing and Logistics at Exxaro Resources

Role Overview:

• As the Technical Lead for Marketing and Logistics, you will be at the forefront of our M&L Business Planning process, budgeting, and strategy development. You will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives and optimizing business processes to help us achieve our performance objectives.

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc Engineering (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum or)
• BEng Engineering (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Recommended/Desirable)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Recommended/Desirable)
• Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE: 

• 8-10 years Relevant job-specific experience with business analytics, process development and ownership, strategic analysis, and design experience. Proven successful management of Business Optimization preferably in a mining or resources environment. Proven track record in change management. Management and implementation of value chain optimisation tools and technologies. Experience formulating, prioritizing, and evaluating the ROI of business optimization projects. Business, analytical and statistical acumen. Knowledgeable on improvement methodologies (i.e., TOC, Lean Six Sigma) • Sound people and relationship skills that foster collaboration, leadership, project management, communication and teamwork (Essential/Minimum) Operational

Duties & Responsibilities    
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

Ability to:

• Lead and process owner of the M&L (Marketing and Logistics) Business Planning process, Budgeting, monthly forecasting, Strategy development and monitoring initiatives.
• Assume responsibility of the Risk Management process and analytical champion in the department.
• Play an integral role on M2R (Market to Resource Optimisation) and the rest of M&L to take full ownership of, and independently execute strategic initiatives assigned to the position as the strategic agenda unfolds.
• Provide technical support to THE General Manager M&L and the M2R Manager.
• Lead business process optimisation initiatives across the various departmental functional areas.
• Enable M&L to achieve its performance objectives by developing and implementing an appropriate Business Optimization (BO) strategy.
• Driving a culture of cross- functional collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with the M&L leadership team to drive initiatives to achieve safety, profitability improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Drive digital transformation across the value chain through implementation of innovative digital solutions and technologies. Lead and co-ordinate D@E (Digital @ Exxaro) initiatives.
• Enable the attainment of the M2R strategies through an integrated and intelligent value chain.
• Partner with support functions to align on BO objectives and ensure timeous delivery of services.
• To ensure knowledge sharing and replication of improvement and innovation opportunities between Business Unit functional areas.
