POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• The purpose of this role is to provide specialist advice and executes planning, development and communication of Work Management weekly work schedules for an operation. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a N3 Technical Certificate with a Trade certificate and with a minimum 3 years’ experience in Maintenance;
• Sound knowledge of Fundamentals of Maintenance and Planning Principles is essential;
• Previous Maintenance Planning experience is advantageous;
• SAP PM, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience is essential.

 
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Creates and plans Work Orders as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of resources;
• Complies with the Work Management processes to schedule work based on the prioritization of the task;
• Collaborates with Supply to determine the availability of required Materials and Services;
• Builds and communicate accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all Work management activities;
• Review Process Discipline for the Week as per the Work Performance Management Process;
• Analyse Monthly Metrics as per the Work Performance Management Process;
• Initiate WM Master Data based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors.

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• To produce an optimized and actionable Mine plan for the operation that ensures resources, equipment and infrastructure are exploited to their maximum potential. This is achieved by methodically evaluating a range of alternative mine designs and schedules.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Mining Engineering/Survey;
•  A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in mine planning of which 1 year at least in a supervisory capacity;
• In depth knowledge in Deswik, Mine Sight, MicroStation, Leapfrog software or other planning software experience is essential;
• In depth knowledge of 1SAP is essential;
• A Blasting ticket is essential;

Proficiency in the MS Office Suite is essential.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Define the mode of operations and scope for 2-year plan;
• Produce physical schedules using relevant software for the areas to be mined on the 2 Year Plan and set up meetings to discuss those areas and implications with operational teams;
• Develop medium to short term production plans, designs, models, schedules and forecasts in conjunctions with internal customers;
• Perform quarterly forecast to accommodate any major changes to the plan;
• Monitor performance against plans and execution of Short Term Mine Plans;
• In liaison with the Senior Surveyor, perform monthly critical checklist on the plan to ensure that it adheres to all basic mine design principles and revise accordingly if there is non-compliance;
• Develop, implement, modify and maintain models to facilitate ore planning and forecast ore grades product volumes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
• Ensure that plans are efficiently designed to optimize economic value;
• Compile Mine plan compliance reports;
• Well Design Work to enable all mining activities can be executed in a safe and practical manner.

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• Ensuring compliance with the South32 commitment to Zero Harm, you will play a key role in safely assisting artisans with mobile machine maintenance and breakdowns. Compliance to all applicable procedures is essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Grade 10 (internal candidates only) or Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (external candidates) together with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance;
• Valid Driver’s license is essential;
• In depth knowledge of Surface Mining Principles is essential;
• Experience in mobile machine maintenance or fitting, boiler making or electrical is advantageous.  

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist artisan with the daily maintenance and inspections;
• Basic use of hand tools;
• Apply health, safety and housekeeping standard;
• Participate in investigations into workplace incidents,
• Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions and incidents to the responsible person;
• Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects,
• Conduct risk assessment before all tasks and identify risks and hazards,
• Keep all equipment clean and in a good condition all the time.

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• The purpose of the role is to provide leadership and direction to achieve a safe working environment, through the effective execution, investigation and analysis of Security activities.  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Security Management Degree and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior criminal investigative and/or preventative role of which 3 years at least in a leadership capacity leading small teams;
• Detailed knowledge related to effective control of security related risks is essential;
• Experience in executing technical Security elated work activities is essential;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Mining Operation environment or medium sized capital project is an added advantage.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead, coach and mentor Asset Protection and Security execution team members to deliver against performance targets;
• Provides input to 5-Year Plan objectives and budget;
• Owns the frameworks, policies and practices for the Asset Protection and Security Function;
• Drives the consistent expectations, understanding and application of Asset Protection and Security processes to enable compliance with business and legislative requirements;
• Manages relationships within the Asset Protection and Security Function, Operations as well as external stakeholders;
• Owns the material Risk Profile for Asset Protection and Security and verifies material risk critical controls are appropriately designed, deployed and effective;
• Endorses the resultant investigation findings for investigations that meet the Business/Operation-defined risk threshold;
• Protection of Hillside Aluminium employees, agents and contractors from harm arising from criminal activities;
• Protection of Hillside Aluminium assets from loss through implementation and management of a multi-disciplined security risk management program;
• Govern best practice security processes and controls for the manufacturing environment.
